Tookie and Team Amreica |
So I just watched Team America last night. Funny movie! Coincidentally
I heard about Hollywood's latest cause celebre, one Tookie Williams.
What a beaut!
Anyway, after hearing about ol' Tookie I started thinking about how dead
nuts on the mark the South Park guys got Hollywood's insanity. Let's
face it, Tookie is basically Kim Jong-Il without a country of his own.
Maybe, just before they slip the hood over Tookie's head he'll give us a
chorus of , "I'm so Ronery" to remember him by 8^)

I guess that's why it's the Republicans who, again & again,
have turned to Hollywood in their search for leadership.
Um, Ronald Reagan?
Arnold Schwarzenegger?
Fred Dalton Thomas?
Fred Grandy (Gopher on "The Love Boat")?
Shirley Temple?
Sonny Bono?
And this is just limiting myself to actual office holders!
Go on, name three act-politician office holders that are
Democrats. Go on.

It's amazing that anyone could be so consistantly wrong as
you are.
For some people it's about justice, and executing a man
in the TOTAL absence of physical evidence is not justice.
For some people, myself included, it's about the role of
government. Unlike you, I do not see America as one
great big church, and our political leaders as moral
emissaries. It is in the public's interest to keep the peace.
It is in the public's interest to not alienate more than
10% of the population. If that means not killing someone
then, well, so what? We should be celebrating the fact
keeping the peace came at such a low, low price.
As you have just testified to the fact that you are not
capable of grasping either position, please continue
with your rant.
