He's a much better actor than Sylverster Stallone (O.K., so being
better than Sylvester Stallone is probably not the measure of a great
actor :-) ).

Sly has done a few good roles...mainly in the early part of his career. I
think "Rocky" and "Copland" would be his best. Then he goes and makes
another brainless piece of crap and blows it all. Judge Dreadful for
instance.

I'm not so sure. Stallone is not a smart or articulate man, but he
usually doesn't try to play one. Still, he has been in some more
complicated roles than Arnold. I agree that the early stallone was
probably worse than the early schwartzenegger. But arnold has fallen
into a very formulaic rut that sly got out of after films like rocky.

P.S: Perhaps even a better actor than Keanu Reeves.

I will ignore that blasphemy :). Keanu isn't smart either, and he
doesn't try too hard in his acting. But there is no way that Arnold
could do keanu's role in the matrix. OTOH, just about anybody could play
a terminator robot.

Maybe I haven't kept up with his acting, but Stallone has all the
facial expressiveness of someone whose had a terrible and massive
accident with facial treatment by botox.(like the person doing the
treatment being blind and putting it everywhere). Arnold may not be the
greatest thespian out there, but he does have functional facial muscles
(capable of providing, at the very least, some semblance of a very
limited emotional repertoire).

Personally, I think that Arnold was sent back in time by the evil
repugnoscum skynet computer system to change the results of last year's
gubernatorial election. But that's a different movie.
On a lighter note, since over two hundred people have now filed to be on
the ballot and the filing fee is $3,500, california has at least
collected $700 grand from this circus. Maybe if another 10,400 people
sign up to be on the ballot then it will actually cover the cost of the
recall election. Of course, the cost just to print all the names on the
ballots is going to be staggering :)).

Maybe Arny can investigate this issue for us. He spent a lot of time

Reagan, obviously, Clint Eastwood, Jerry Springer (twice, almost),

Reagan, obviously, Clint Eastwood, Jerry Springer (twice, almost),
that midget from Loveboat, and George W. Bush, ofcourse. I'm not so
sure Arnold it going to be so bad. He's got a strong personality and
with a few good advisors could go a long way.

Anyway, isn't that the point of democracy? When you let the people
decide, you run the risk of the wrong people being elected.

I'll take Ventura's government gridlock over Pawlenty any day (at

making them worse is a good start).

I'd sooner see the Electoral College eliminated. If we're going to
let foreigners run the country, why not just sell it now?

But at least Halliburton, et al, are American companies. Mainly.

But cheer up; back in January, a controlling interest in
election.com, which will be providing online absentee ballots
for US military personnel for the 2004 election, was sold to
an investment group, Osan Ltd, and we don't even KNOW
who owns THEM, except some "unnamed Saudi nationals"
and an indeterminate number of Americans and Europeans:

Isn't Cantonese more common?

According to:
http://www.ethnologue.com/show_country.asp?name=China
Mandarin is the official language of China and is spoken by 70% of the
population. Most Chinese understand it and can speak it, although they
may also use their local languages when with others from that region.
