Vote for Bush. Why vote for the lesser of two evils?
No matter the candidates the superstition industry wins.

It takes a *very* subtle touch.

So the answer is "no"? Maybe that's part of the agenda, to block out
non-approved candidates.

I'm sure the answer is variable, according to jurisdiction and technology
in use there. In principle, a system ought to be able to embrace both the
high-techitude of touch screen and the openness to voting for lesser-established
candidates of writing in. I'd put in a 'phone call to the local board of elections
to ask them about this, if I were you. Shorter-term, you could try googling for
write-in voting instructions by state and county (a similar approach showed me
how to petition my elections board for an absentee ballot, complete with a .pdf
of the form, as filled by me.)

I imagine the principle is the same as using white-out on a computer screen
to correct errors.

You know how sometimes, you hear or see something, and it takes a while to
click?
Well that is what just happened to me. About 15 minutes. <(:-(

Yes, depending on the system. My local touch screens offer a 'write in'
choice, and bring up an alphabet so you can laboriously touch in a name.
OTOH, they only tally and publish results of votes for 'declared' write in
candidates here. So none of my write in votes ever much mattered.

Well, you can only blame yourself. The election workers might have let
"Mike Hunt" , or "I.P. Freely" get by, but when you put in "Saque
O'Sheet" for governor, that was just way out of line.

I may write him in this year in one of the 'unopposed' races.
