Object: TQOTM nomination (positive)
As an antidote to the negative nominations that usually get dished up,
I propose the following:
"Alan Cossey", in Message-ID: <dqqtvq$e3p$1@news8.svr.pol.co.uk>
On Fri, 20 Jan 2006 15:05:03
In response to:

At the very least, Alan, you appear to have an enquiring mind.
That's a good start, but I don't think your pastor would like it.

Cheers Steve. Maybe some won't, but my vicar is all for it and the
previous three. It may sound a bit glib, but if Jesus really is the
Son of God, why on earth can't I ask questions? If this Christian
stuff is true, the more I look, the more I should find out that should
convince me. If it isn't true, then I need to find out.

</nominated portion>
How about it folks?
Good news for a change!
Any firsters/seconders/thirders?

I third it. It sure be the typical, snide bickering that have become so
tedious.
I'm reminded of a Galileo quote (paraphrasing from memory), "I cannot
believe that the same god who imbued us with an intelligent mind would
intend for us not to use it."

I'm pretty sure Galileo did not make an exception regarding current US
politics.

I'll second it, although I think I would have only nominated the last
two or three lines. It's good to know some theists are open to
questioning their faith.

Exactly.

right.)
