I'd like to know what "Hvad skal vi med ham?" really means in
some actual native language of some kind.

A Google search comes up with a few Danish pages.
The translator at http://translation.langenberg.com/ (second one down) can
translate Danish. It says it means "What shall vi by him".
So, I dunno.

"What do we need him for?" is the actual sense of the sentence. It is
Danish.

important person in Danish cultural history. In the context of the
article a better translation would have been "Of what use is he to
us." His relevance for modern times has been under debate here.

It looks scandinavian. Did you try www.Babblefish.com?
There is an option: Norwegian to English. I can't make it work right
now. The route to babblefish via alta vista doesn't seem to have a
scandinavian option.

Yeah, that was one of the first links I tried.
There is an option: Norwegian to English. I can't make it work right
now. The route to babblefish via alta vista doesn't seem to have a
scandinavian option.
I was hoping some scandinavian people around here might be willing
to toss in their two cents. Maybe Ichi or Meow or someone else in
that part of the world...
