Object: Truth
I made a bet with a friend for a million dollars once. I won the bet through
my actions. I did not collect on the bet as when I made it I realized it was
in jest. What is true then the bet or the jest.
If your whole truth is money do you even see the joke.
If your whole truth is money would you pay up.
Truth is sometimes not truth it is what you seek.
The search for truth always begins with searching for truth not with
searching for what you want to hear. Sometimes the truth is we can never
find someone else's truth and it is wise not to confuse our own truth with
someone else's.

What is true is that you don't know whether you are the boxer or the bag,
old boy.

Then it was no bet. Is the actor who plays the part of a murderer
commiting a murder when he acts out a murder?

Truth from every thing I have seen dose resemble ["truth" = my idea of
"opinion"] in a full sense. Your truth seems the same. If part of human
nature is to seek the truth as in "fact" or as in "reality" it is good to
see the pointless so you can get at the truth. Sometimes there is no point.
However have you ever asked yourself why you are misunderstood or indeed why
there is no news group dedicated to truth and the seeking of.

Try talk.origins...

and other sci groups like any dedicated to scientific fields, philosophy and
sci.skeptic etc etc...even the religious newsgroups are *ostensibly* about
discussing/finding the truth
it could be argued that *every* newsgroup is used by some to try to discover
the truth
or were you hoping for one literally called alt.truth or similar?
