"Fundies" do not have the ability to believe anything rational. They have
been brainwashed since
birth by their brainwashed parents. Free thought is not an alternative to
religion.
Those who have not been brought up in religion are very lucky in most
respects because they haven't the inbred fear that the "fundies" have
instilled in their brains. They don't worry about the "wrath of god"
because he doesn't exist in
their belief system. These people are destined to be fuel for the big
furnace when they die, according to the overly religious. Until someone
returns from "hell" and lets us all know how bad it was there, we really
don't have anything to fear.
I'm also waiting for someone to tell us how grand "heaven" was, of course,
it is supposed to be so wonderful that no one would want to come back.
Common sense should kick in and guide us in our thinking. That, when we die
that's it, nothing more, your good deeds are remembered if you're a
celebrity for a longer time than if you're not famous.
So try as you will with your blogs and postings in newsgroups, the "fundies"
will always seem weird in their beliefs.
Of course we should try and keep them out of government because they strill
think the world is flat.
