More than that.

What was he screaming about?

Nothing.

And what was that language he was speaking?

Sounded like Haitian Creole.

It is. The FDA gets after people who sell bogus medicine, why don't they
go after these quacks too?
Or maybe this will be Bush's solution to the healthcare crisis. 'Faith
based medicine'.

That's sure to go over really big. Some of those faith healer make more
money than doctors, like Benny Hinn for instance. EVen though he had
been exposed as a fake several times in the past, his Orlando Church is
bigger than ever, and so is his house, Mercedes and Rolls.

And I wonder how many people have suffered and died because of his
quackery. Hinn and his ilk should be in jail and hiding behind the bible
should not be a defense.

According to an Orlando TV news expose who followed Hinn around the
country, several have died from over exertion some time after that
psychological euphoria wore off, or from not taking medication.
Another thing they did was interview those who were healed and found
nothing organic was healed and even the psychological cases reverted
back.
The expose also pointed out several shills (on the payroll) who were
cured in one town after another.
An interesting change on the show after the expose and a threat to take
away the show's medical doctor's license was that Benny stopped saying,
"The doctor says 'so-and-so' was healed" to "The doctor says that
'so-and-so' says that they are healed."
I lived a few blocks from him at one time. He doesn't fare well in one
on one discussions with someone who knows more about his scriptures
than he does and when he is not performing before an audience. Use to
love it when he walked in local restaurants. Of course knowing more
than he about scripture was relatively easy. Like most fundie
preachers they have about 30 pet memorized passages, and ignore the
thousands of others. And in fact, many not know much about them.

I've heard of that. They throw their crutches away or get up from their
wheelchairs and start walking around (just like they did before the
show.)

Hinn knows how to CYA.

These guys are not about religion of medicine. They are showmen and rip
off artists and for them the scriptures are just another prop.

Brainwashed bornagain Christian followers refuse to deal with facts.
They're only concerned with what gives them the BUZZ. And their BUZZ gives
Hinn his MERCEDES.

Don't watch much TV do you? The FDA may go after people who sell bogus
medicine but they don't go after people who sell "supplements" From the
headache cure that you rub on your head to the "Natural Male Enhancer" that
you take as a pill and the shelves filled with homeopathic remedies both in
health stores and on major chain floors, the FDA allows such crap.
http://www.quackwatch.org/ covers this and more.

I avoid TV as much as possible. There are better sources of information.
I know that there's a big blind spot which allows charlatans to sell
'natural' remedies without adequate FDA scrutiny. I put these in the
same category as the 'faith based' healers. The supplement sellers must
have one powerful lobby.
