Two Black Churches Burn in Tennessee Arson
By GARY TANNER Associated Press Writer July 8, 2005, 5:25 PM CDT
SPARTA, Tenn. -- Seven arson fires broke out Friday in a neighborhood in
this small Tennessee town, inflicting heavy damage on two black churches
and burning five vacant houses, authorities said.
"Black churches." And here I thought that Christianity was all
about brotherhood. Funny how Christianity is divided into "white
churches" and "black churches," isn't it?
Speaks volumes about Christianity.

No, but what's important though is to note that's how Liberals view the
world, not Christians...

"Eleven o'clock Sunday morning is the most segregated hour and Sunday
school is still the most segregated school of the week." -- often
repeated by Martin Luther King, but first put into words by Billy
Graham.
This is still a recognized problem by both black and white church
leaders. It is an important issue no matter how blind you may be to it.
And I fail to see what it has to do with partisanship.
This is obviously a case of the populace still not being able to live
up to it's highest ideals. The ideal is good, and therefore the
religion is good, but the adherents and the religion-as-practiced
aren't. One can only hope that Christianity will have more of an effect
on Christians than Christians on Christianity.
Speaks volumes about Christianity.

The three young men who were murdered in Mississippi (for whom
the KKK member was recently convicted) were trying to register
blacks to vote. Given the republican efforts to prevent blacks
from voting in 2000 and 2004, it looks like nothing has really
changed in the US.

Most of the four million ballots that have not been counted yet were
cast in "black" precints and Mexican precints. It kind of reminds me of
the poster of Stalin dropping a ballot into a ballot box with a humble
expression on his face a meakly down-turned head: it does not matter if
people are allowed to vote or not---- what matters is who COUNTS (or
refuses to count) the ballots.
