"A confidential Ministry of Defence report on Unidentified Flying
Objects has concluded that there is no proof of alien life forms. In
spite of the secrecy surrounding the UFO study, it seems citizens of
planet Earth have little to worry about. The report, which was
completed in 2000 and stamped "Secret: UK Eyes Only", has been made
public for the first time. Only a small number of copies were produced
and the identity of the man who wrote it has been protected. His
findings were only made public thanks to the Freedom of Information
Act, after a request by Sheffield Hallam University academic Dr David
Clarke."

Good call. I would have my identity protected too if I were to waste
taxpayer money such. If they want to do real science, they should seek
the tooth fairy.

She doesn't exsist? How can I retire if she doesn't bring me money for

Well, it's a good thing the little people and their pot of gold at the
end of the rainbow are still there.
You would have just turned my world upside down....

Do you really think *any* government is going to admit the existence of
aliens? As for me, I only allow for the possibility of their existence.

I'm very, very skeptical about UFO claims, but I think the claims of
aliens and coverups would be taken far less seriously if the government
didn't continue to withhold the evidence. Unfortunately, that's common
practice for this government, so the coverups don't really imply that
aliens are actually visiting us. Life in the universe- probably yes.
Said life visiting Earth- probably no.

The true explanation is not hard to find. Some UFOs may indeed be
plasma discharges, but a large number are military. Let us look at the
pictures.

This is clearly subsonic. Reason - The pitot tube which would burn off
with any serious speed. Note also the large twin rudders. Certainly
ain't ET but what is it? An VTOL executive would probably fit best.
Anyway the fact remains that this aircraft is/was being developed in
total secrecy. I tend to feel that the rudders are capable of rotaring
though 90 degrees thus providing a vortex, a partial vacuum and lift.
http://jlnlabs.imars.com/gfsuav/
This is a less advanced Coanda system which is being developed openly.
he denial of ET does still beg important questions. That part can I
think be accepted without too many questions.
There are a number of impoerant commercial considerations. An executive
which can take off and land in a car park is clearly going to have
considerable appeal. It should also be pointed out that in many cases
the distiction between NATIONAL and COMMERCIAL security is rather
blurred. Both the CIA and the DGSE have been tasked with COMMERCIAL
spying. Clearly if the USA has got a large lead in this field of
technology it must be worrying for non US executive jet manufacturers.
No what the (open) British team must do is get blanket patents for
Coanda and vortex technology. This would block the US black projects.
The US is a nation of lawyers, lets turn their own weapons against
them. Priority is given to the first patent, not the first
technological (secret) development.

Uh-huh. It's not a UFO and it's not military, it's Thunderbird 2 from
the movie "Thunderbirds":
http://tinyurl.com/fbonh
assuming, of course, that it isn't yet another fake UFO, or yet another
sensationalist claim about a military jet from an unusual angle.
There are no UFOs. If there were aliens, they either don't care about
us or haven't heard us yet or they cannot get here or they would have
been here by now. People who think space is full of aliens flitting
around at will have no idea of the massive distances in space and the
equally massive energy requirements to traverse those distances.

The picture is totally different.

There are no UFOs.

What about Blackstar, the orbiter that uses highly toxic boron
compunds? Didn't work true, but it still flew thaough sub orbitally.

Of course it is, and there is absolutely no way whatsoever that you
could possibly get your mind out of the bottomless rut that it's in to
see something in a new light, is there? Why did I know this from the
very first sentence of yours that I read?

There are no UFOs.

Clearly you don't understand what UFO means outside of your own
blinkered view of life.

That would surely be a reason to monitor our development. 9/11 was
caused by aircraft being flown into the twin towers at speed (contrary
to what some of the conspiracy theirists tell us). Suppose we were to
develop a Von Neumann machine, this may not in fact be as difficult to
do as it seems at firat sight, and suppose were were to produce a laser
system (many lasers produced by VN machine) which could reach c/2.
Terrans would then be in a position to attack the galactic trade
center. In various threads we have discussed how you decelerate. If you
are going to the galactic trade center you don't have to learn how to
land!
However monitoring would be done via AI on the Web.
With

which discuseed VN machines all the comments were serious. With

There were attemps at ridicule. This would seem to indicate, admittedly
anecdotally that there might well be a body of people who do not want
us to get to the truth on disc aircraft
there were no comments of any sort.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/programmes/click_online/4977134.stm
clearly proves that work on disc aircraft is ongoing.
It would be a horrible though if our development were to be
constrained. Personally I hope (and believe) there are no aliens.
