Uh, "Dr" Jason, Wouldn't It Help Your Election Chances If Your Name Were Actually *On* The Ballot? |
Official registered candidates for 2003 Califonria recall election:
http://www.ss.ca.gov/elections/2003_cert_cand.htm
Of the six 30-and-under candidates that got their 30 seconds of fame,
Brooke Adams was actually on the ballot, as was adult film actress
Mary Carey, as was Bryan Quinn, as was Gregory Russell, as was Daniel
Watts.
But no Jason Gastrich.
Now I'm not like a rocket scientist or anything, but I think your
chances for getting elected would improve if your name was actually on
the ballot.

To actually appear on the ballot in California, a candidate must have
paid a $3,500 filing fee and hand in signatures of 65 registered
voters. Noting that he only garnered 11 write-in votes in the general
election, he probably didn't have the requisite number of signatures
to be on the ballot, not to mention the money for the filing fee.

So, would it be fair to say that God was not on Jason's side? What
happened to "Consider the lilies of the valley?" ;-)

Yep, the Lord provides for them but somehow manages not to provide for
Jason. I wonder if there is a message in there for Jason's next Bible
lesson?

True, but the other 5 candidates got their acts together. What's his
excuse?
