UNCERTAINTY
New10.
There is a certain category of people who cannot live with uncertainty. I
have a colleague who I have known for over twenty years and I have NEVER
heard her say "I don't know" often I am surprised by some of her
rationalizations. It is well known in psychology that a person who can live
with uncertainty is psychologically healthier than those who need certainty.
For those who can't live with uncertainty make up some of the most ignorant
of reasons as to why they believe what they do, just to have certainty.

There is another category of people who are happy to be ignorant and

Yes, comic books are reliable. Check out this simple correlation:

RELIGION AND LAS VEGAS
New 10.
XX
` Just as Las Vegas has a gambling game to fit the taste of every
gambler so too Christianity has a denomination that will fit the taste of
every Christian. The pathology of the compulsive gambler is that while
gambling they can shut out their contemporary problems and is willing to
risk all of their money to do so. Those who remain in the religion of their
families are also compulsive in their religion and get their neurotic needs
met by familiarity as to not cause cognitive dissonance. When they find
their religion no longer satisfies their psychological needs will join a
denomination that fits their particular neurosis just as the gamblers will
find the game that satisfies their neurosis. There are those who can step
back and examine their religion with critical eyes for the first time---even
if they do suffer from cognitive dissonance and can stay with it long enough
until the new information becomes familiar, they will discover the
psychology of change. When religion ceases to comfort one intellectually and
psychologically they often become atheists.

A book of law

Why didn't you put me to death for picvking up sticks on Sunday?
Eating shellfish yesterday?

A book of history

SOME history, seen through the eyes and spin of a nomadic bronze age

But much more myth and fable, which the gullible and brainwashed
imagine to be fact because they worship the book.

A book of moral guidance

Hardly. Its morals are lousy. What was that about eating shellfish

A book of EVERYTHING the human race needs.

*****. It is the irrelevant writings of somebody else's religion,
who is too sociopathic to realise that people wouldn't give a toss

A book of EVERYTHING the human race needs.

Only that part of the human race that never advanced beyond the level
of bronze age tribesmen.

Meaningless insult. Surely you can do better than that.

UNCERTAINTY
New10.
There is a certain category of people who cannot live with uncertainty. I
have a colleague who I have known for over twenty years and I have NEVER
heard her say "I don't know" often I am surprised by some of her
rationalizations. It is well known in psychology that a person who can

live

with uncertainty is psychologically healthier than those who need

certainty.

For those who can't live with uncertainty make up some of the most

ignorant

of reasons as to why they believe what they do, just to have certainty.

There is another category of people who are happy to be ignorant and
embarrass themselves. Such a person might be someone who has admittedly
never read the Bible, such as you, and yet feels competent to comment on it.
Talk about the "most ignorant"! You continue to amaze me.

Rufus

Read Matthew 5:22 lately? Looks like you're going to hell, sinner.

You get no points for being superstitious
By New10
Every person who identifies themselves as Christian freely choose (freedom
of choice) to stay in the insane asylum known as Christianity. They freely
ignore any information that will help them to escape. Most remain prisoners
all of their life.
