Under God |
We've always found it worth a chuckle or three when fundamentalist
Christians fail to see the irony in the fact that the terrorist
followers of Osama bin Laden ("Who?" asks the Bush administration)
crashed planes into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon in the
name of their god. Not long ago the deputy undersecretary of defense
for intelligence, one Lt. Gen. William Boykin, was giving
presentations to church groups during which he referred to the United
States as a "Christian nation" doing "spiritual battle" against Satan,
and claiming that God put George W. Bush in the White House by a
miracle.

Irony? What irony?
Didn't you know we were founded by Christians? Didn't you hear that the
700 cult^H^H^H^HClub founder said God told him Bush was going to win
again because he's been personally blessed??

So now we know what 'miracle' means - god breaking the law.

True but he was also reprimanded by his superiors.
