over the cliffs of alt.atheism on Sat, 28 Aug 2004 10:18:30 -0500 by
Zoog, minion of Zathar. As he fell, he screamed:

to raise taxes. That's it - the big picture.

Create Good-Paying Jobs
As president, John Kerry will cut taxes for businesses that create
jobs here in America instead of moving them overseas. John Kerry and
John Edwards will also stand up for workers by enforcing our trade
agreements.
Cut Middle-Class Taxes To Raise Middle-Class Incomes
When John Kerry is president, middle-class taxes will go down.
Ninety-eight percent of all Americans and 99 percent of American
businesses will get a tax cut under the Kerry-Edwards plan.
Make Washington Live Within A Budget
John Kerry will cut the deficit in half during his first four years in
office. He will end corporate welfare as we know it, roll back the
Bush tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans, and impose a real cap to
keep spending in check. And when John Kerry puts forward a new idea,
he'll tell you how he's going to pay for it.
Invest In The Jobs Of Tomorrow
Today, businesses are harnessing new technology to manufacture
energy-efficient cars, high-grade steel, advanced plastics and other
new products. And this requires a bigger, skilled labor force to make
them. John Kerry and John Edwards believe we should invest in these
jobs and invest in the people who will fill them.

Create Good-Paying Jobs
As president, John Kerry will cut taxes for businesses that create
jobs here in America instead of moving them overseas. John Kerry and
John Edwards will also stand up for workers by enforcing our trade
agreements.

And also increase taxes on our businesses overseas, thus making them less
competitive and worsening our exports. Kerry thinks that by juggling the tax
burden a few percent he's going to magically create 10 gazillion new
high-paying jobs over night. Very realistic.

Cut Middle-Class Taxes To Raise Middle-Class Incomes
When John Kerry is president, middle-class taxes will go down.
Ninety-eight percent of all Americans and 99 percent of American
businesses will get a tax cut under the Kerry-Edwards plan.

Sure, and here come the monkeys from my butt. The best predictor of future
behavior is past behavior. And Kerry's 20-year record in the Senate shows
him to be a pol who never met a tax hike he didn't like. He may cut one
form of taxation, but then he'll turn around and hike or introduce a new
form that is more onerous. Witness the gas tax he proposed.

And provide "free" healthcare and "free" college education and "free" this,
that and the other thing. And, of course, he'll do it all without raising
taxes or blowing the budget. Oh, sure.

Gee, such nice-sounding generalities. What kinds of "investment" is he
talking about?
You forgot to mention his spiel about how he was going to dramatically
increase military and defense spending, create a new cabinet position for
intel and of course make it all happen while reducing our deficit. And
let's not forget his new-found enthusiasm for missile defense, for example.
I know, I know, he has never in his career voted for a dime to be spent on
it, but he's turned over a new leaf.

Your history is a *lot* shaky.

Cheney and Rumsfeld learned from this to keep the

Is that why they "embedded" reporters with the troops and why there are
network reporters all over Afghanistan and Iraq where they can see the
progress we're making which they don't report because it doesn't fit

Revisionism at work! Nice job obscurring actual history, Fred.
It was Dwight D. Eisenhower who order the Military Assitance Advisory
Group (MAAG) created. Eisenhower used the words "domino theory" to
bolster support of Indochina.
The first Americans were wounded in 1957. The first two to be killed
died in 1959. By the time Eisenhower leaves office there are over 500
American troops in the MAAG (latever MAC-V) and twenty have been
killed.
Richard Nixon took office in 1969. It wasn't until 1973 that the last
troops left Vietnam. Inbetween those dates, he invaded Cambodia.

That is incorrect. The first troops, all 500 of them, were sent by
President Dwight D. Eisenhower, a Republican.
The entry of major combat formations came in 1965, with operation
Silver Bayonet. Before that, there were about 2,500 US advisors, most
of whom were in regular contact with the enemy.

Nope, just repeating what the experts say.

Nope, but it sounds good. We can't compete operations wise. We operate according to
extensive safety/environments standards which cost money and therefore jobs. A chinaman
is tossed in the ditch if he dies on the job.

Cut Middle-Class Taxes To Raise Middle-Class Incomes
When John Kerry is president, middle-class taxes will go down.
Ninety-eight percent of all Americans and 99 percent of American
businesses will get a tax cut under the Kerry-Edwards plan.

Sounds good. Good move for a politician seeking election. 'rats don't lower taxes, they
raise taxes so the free ride bunch gets a better free ride and they buy more votes fro the
free ride bunch.. Republicans cut taxes. It's against the 'rats internal principles to
reduce taxes.

He hasn't yet, and the election is only 2 months off.

Invest In The Jobs Of Tomorrow
Today, businesses are harnessing new technology to manufacture
energy-efficient cars, high-grade steel, advanced plastics and other
new products.

You mean under President Bush? My oh my.

And this requires a bigger, skilled labor force to make
them. John Kerry and John Edwards believe we should invest in these
jobs and invest in the people who will fill them.

A skilled labor force requires better pay. Prices will really go up, or go overseas.

to raise taxes. That's it - the big picture.

Just how are you planning to close the budget deficit? With tax cuts
and increases in defence spending I suppose.
The big picture for a Bush America is a future of debt.

Bush is teh creator of McJobs on a grand scale, and even there,
60 days before election, he's still short 1.1 millon jobs.
face facts, Bush has a proven track record and he cannot

How much better Kerry would do is speculation, but ..
Bush has a proven track record of being incapable of
doing the job.
Only cretins would want to vote for Bush.
This past week, 10 Nobel prize winning economists have
come out for Kerry, and styated Buh's stated plans are a dnager to
America's economic future.
Why do dipshits still wish to vote for Bush under such
circumstances?
Because they just don't care if Bush destroys America.

War is hell.

And Bush loves it. So long as he can get someone else to fight it for
him. That's AWOL for you. But the tax cuts happened AFTER the increase
in spending for the "war on terror".

We could have just let the terrorists destroy a US monument and 3000 people
and hope we didn't hurt their feelings by taking action. Thankfully, we had President
Bush to step in and do what 'rat willie didn't.

What do terrorists have to do with Iraq. Nothing! What did Iraq have
to do with the WTC? Nothing. Absolutely nothing! Nothing at all! Those
involved had links with Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Egypt, Sudan
but not Iraq.
Duke when are you going to stop repeating your lies?
I'm being serious here. Tell me of ONE terrorist action OUTSIDE Iraq
organised by Saddam. Because I have scratched my head and I can not
think of one. I'm not talking about the invasion of Kuwait which was a
war but the normal type of terrorism.
But why the tax cuts? Even if the war for oil was justified or if it
was not. Why the tax cuts afterwards.

Still how would you close the deficit gap?

Not by letting the terrorists get away like the 'rats did. Eight times 'rat willie
klinton did just that.

Duke, stop avoiding the question.
How would you close the deficit gap?

He literally invited 911 by his attention to getting a *****.
