Now that I have your attention . . . and, "No," you are not an idiot; but
you have been trained to be a good Worker Bee, if you went through the
public education system.
During my journey through the public school system and on into the
university system in Cultural Anthropology, I remember thinking that my
views and my way of interpreting information gradually narrowed to the point
where I was becoming more ignorant each year. About eleven years ago, I read
two pieces of information that changed the way I approached public
education. The first was a quote from Albert Einstein (a letter from
Einstein to Sigmund Freud - The Einstein-Freud Correspondence. 1931-1932):
"How is it possible for this small clique to bend the will of the majority,
who stand to lose and suffer by a state of war, to the service of their
ambitions. An obvious answer to this question would seem to be that the
minority, the ruling class at present, has the schools and press, usually
the Church as well, under its thumb. This enables it to organize and sway
the emotions of the masses, and makes its tool of them."
The second was from Adelman and Levine (1993), that 7% of our communication
is verbal, leaving 93% as non-verbal. Behavior is a better indicator of true
intentions, than words. When words and behaviors do not match, go with the
behavior. I am sure most of you already knew this.
Cultural Anthropology for me changed radically to the Behavioral Study of
Cultures. The difference was amazing. Viewing a culture from this
perspective, what was written, what artifacts they had left behind
(especially what they put in their trash dumps), and looking at the "net
functionality" of a particular behavior, made all the difference in gaining
a more thorough understanding of different cultures, regardless of what we
were told by a historian or by some ethnographer of that time period.
Although I'd been taught and warned of it, I realized that a lot of what was
written about a culture was truly propaganda and almost worthless, unless
the "net functionality" of a particular behavior could also be confirmed.
Here is what I have found out about Old Testament using religions. Take away
all the tools that civilization was invented since the last ice age, and our
civilization today has not changed much, with one glaring exception: the
domestication of Homo sapiens based on the Old Testament belief system; a
belief system started by ancient Levite Jews (religious priests), the
ancient Jewish Ruling Class, and a figure head (a king). Why? To groom a
Ruling Class - Worker Bee model that is still in use today. By examining the
History of Law and the History of Religion, side by side, from a behavioral
point of view, including the "net functionality," it becomes undeniably
apparent that the use of Old Testament Laws and procedures in any religion
(including Judaism, Christianity, Islam, and Mormonism) was first and
foremost a land-grab hoax. That is why there "has to be" a god today. If
someone proves that no god exists, our legal and land ownership system would
collapse in on itself, without that original foundation to support it. Do
you think that the Ruling Class is going to allow that to happen?
For those of you who were university trained, and do not believe a word of
this, I would expect that. In fact, the survival of the Ruling Class depends
on it. They "dumbed you down" for a purpose and you never even had a chance.
You were groomed in a ridged public educational system for the purpose of
becoming a good, compliant, and healthy Worker Bee, that would become
another nameless consumer of goods and services, who paid taxes. Your
children will become the same, as well as your grandchildren.
Unless you have walked the walk I have, your comments to this post are near
worthless to anyone, including yourself. They are speculative at best.
However, if you are up to the challenge (which most primate academia refuse
to do -- because they have already learned the "correct" information and how
to research more "correct" information) , go back and re-research using a
"net functionality" outcome approach. As an example:
If you see, with your own eyes today, that a fresh blueberry muffin is
sitting on your kitchen table, then some behavior occurred to get it there;
even if you were told by the person who performed the behavior that resulted
in the blueberry muffin being there, that they diced and broiled four onions
that resulted in a blueberry muffin. The behavior is an obvious fabrication,
yet the blueberry muffin exists.
The land and its resources on our planet are all owned (the blueberry muffin
exists). The Roman Catholic Church fabricated The Donation of Constantine
(the blueberry muffin exists). Many people were murdered in the Inquisition
over a four-hundred year period (the blueberry muffin exists). What King
Cyrus of Persia said was recorded on a clay cylinder that we still have,
with no agenda attached to it with regard to land acquisition or tribute
being required to be brought to Jerusalem (the blueberry muffin exists).
Large armies, such as those sent by England against the colonies, cannot
control a large region, no matter how much they torture or murder the
population (unless of course the kill them all), without instilling the
belief in that population that the aggressor has the legal right to govern
them. Every conqueror throughout western history, used some kind of
religious belief as part of their intimidation tool for population control.
Armies were too expensive to be used as policemen, when they needed to be
used as border protection. AS an example, Alexander claimed himself to be a
god for that purpose. Almost every animal on the planet, including our
species, has some kind of "larger-than-life" behavior to intimate and
control others (the blueberry muffin exists). Last week, as recorded and
shown on the NBC Nightly News, Muslim clerics told survivors of the Indian
Ocean tsunami that god was teaching them a lesson in humility. Which is the
manipulative way of saying, god felt you were too arrogant and needed to be
taught a lesson (the blueberry muffin exists). Parents and children will go
through the rest of their lives thinking that they did something wrong; and
as a result their loved ones were killed by god. Now that sounds like
someone dicing and broiling four onions that resulted in a blueberry muffin.
What do you think? And tell me it in terms of behavior observed and the "net
functionality" outcome. Then, speculate on who benefits; the clergy or the
survivors of the Indian Ocean tsunami? I'll help you out. Who stands to loss
a job if it's proven that no god exists? And, who stands to lose membership,
along with billions of dollars per year if it's proven that no god exists?
And finally, who stands to (a risk that they might) lose rights to Earth's
land, water resources, mineral resources, predictable food sources, building
material resources, and billions upon billions of dollars worth our what was
originally yours and mine by right of being an indigenous species on our
planet, if it's proven that no god exists?
In the left hand, the Ruling Class promotes love and compassion to ease the
suffering of the world's Worker Bees. In the right hand, they hold billions
upon billions of the world's resources that make their lives substantially
better by comparison. Speculate which hand is more attractive to the Ruling
Class. If you choose the four fictitious diced and broiled onions in the
left hand, instead of the blueberry muffin in the right, go sit in the
corner with the dunce cap on, regardless of what your public university
credentials are. Unless of course you are a Ruling Class member; then you
get an A+ for ingenuity, organization, marketing, human behavior, and
economics.
