US Army: GOP Aid and Abet Terrorists |
http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2007/9/27/1564/31180
The Washington Post reported yesterday that the Army is now saying
15-month deployments without a proper recovery time are "not
sustainable." Again, this is exactly what the Webb-Hagel Amendment
was all aboutthat is, until it was torpedoed by Republican al Qaeda
supporters in the Senate last week.

Non sustainablity is a specialty of good governments gone corrupt...
the reasons are that its previous errors were rationalized (made right
by creating various justifications).. so the error was not
corrected...but reinforced. The first step onto a slippery slope.
..those justifications being largely bogus but accepted misprograms
them to commit more serious errors...
as more and more such insanity is justified the entrie mess goes south
beyond all human comprehension as our retired generals are now saying
about the war in Iraq... also a repeating pattern in history, and with
individuals.
You see it with individuals when they present a bogus notion then try
to support it with spin.... it locks in their error... or more subtly,
even if they are right on a point, it locks them into that singular
viewpoint..
the insulare viewpoint is never viable across the broader spectrum.
that activity destroys their own mind...clever as these think they
are... the rationalization of their own error destroys them, not just
on that one point, but across the boards as their entire brain
structure fades to a mix of mush and vitriol.

Bad news for you guys:
Dems can't make guarantee on Iraq troops
By BETH FOUHY, Associated Press Writer
Thu Sep 27, 4:29 PM ET
The leading Democratic White House hopefuls conceded Wednesday night
they cannot guarantee to pull all U.S. combat troops from Iraq by the
end of the next presidential term in 2013.
"I think it's hard to project four years from now," said Sen. Barack
Obama of Illinois in the opening moments of a campaign debate in the
nation's first primary state.
"It is very difficult to know what we're going to be inheriting," added
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York.
"I cannot make that commitment," said former Sen. John Edwards of North
Carolina.

³Cut and Run² the way Reagan did?
It is irresponsible to say ³We made a mistake so we are going to
continue to make that same mistake rather than admit error.³ That is
what the chicken hawk Republicans want to do. Calling it ³cut and run²
is simple minded rhetoric aimed at the simple minded. If you buy the
phrase, put yourself in that group.
However, it is idiotic to say they can guarantee they can get the
troops out without first seeing what kind of mess the Republicans got
us into. It was a stupid question.
I have no doubt the Democrats are capable of cleaning up the mess we
got into so the Republicans and their cronies could make some money off
the deaths of Americans.

Reagan screwed the pooch on a lot of things the worst being his inaction
concerning terrorists.

It would not be irresponsible (didn't they teach you in lawyer school
that double negatives are tres gauche?) if we *HAD* made a mistake.
However the boys fighting this war and the ones lining up to join and
get in on it know that we're winning it.
However, it is idiotic to say they can guarantee they can get the
troops out without first seeing what kind of mess the Republicans got

It was a very telling question. If your hopes come true these people who
you're pinning all your hopes on have admitted that they don't have a
clue what they'd do.

According to Bush, back in 2003, we already won.
If we ignore Bush's declaration of victory, and simply
concentrate on the pre-war goals, we won. Our
objectives have been reached.
We were all told -- ad nauseum -- that free elections
were held in Iraq, and that the present government is
a democracy. Saddam is gone. There are no WMDs.
If something has since come up that supercedes all
our goals that would be a step *Away* from victory.
By definition, that means we're "Losing."
But we're not losing -- as you just told us -- and all
our stated objectives have been accomplished.
We won.

Yes, big mistake on Bushs part.
If we ignore Bush's declaration of victory, and simply
concentrate on the pre-war goals, we won. Our
objectives have been reached.
Problem: What exactly were the objectives? Did they have any prior to
the war, or were they making them as the war was going along?
I struggled with this, and it's one of the reasons I left the
Republican party. Because I questioned Bush, and the Republicans I
associated with didn't believe in our questioning Bush on his
decisions.
What exactly were the objectives?
We were all told -- ad nauseum -- that free elections
were held in Iraq, and that the present government is
a democracy.
We all know it's not a democracy and probably never will be.
Saddam is gone.
I think at that point we should have started the withdrawl, once
Saddam was captured.
There are no WMDs.
That we know of. Remember, even Blix had said many were still
unaccounted for and Saddam had WAY more than enough time to hide or
transport any weapons out of Iraq.
If something has since come up that supercedes all
our goals that would be a step *Away* from victory.
By definition, that means we're "Losing."

Republicans and/or Democrats are not going to withdrawl the troops.
Not yet.

From John Rohan's Blog (John is a currently serving member of the US
Army who has served two tours in Iraq):
Myth 11) No WMDs were found
It's true that no WMD making capability, or any brand new weapons were
found. But saying "no WMDs were found" might be a
surprise to the convoy who had a sarin gas artillery shell IED explode
on them in May 2004. It was on highway 8, in the
middle of Baghdad, on a section of road that coincidentally, my unit,
the 1-1 Cavalry Squadron, had turned over to 1-7 Cav
just two months before. That was not the only one either; hundreds of
other shells were found, and there were brief press
releases about it. I have read much more of the reports, but since most
are still secret for some reason, I can't discuss
them. But the bottom line is, while it probably won't appease critics of
the war, illegal WMDs were found.
http://shieldofachilles.blogspot.com/2007/05/common-myths-about-iraq-war.html
Can we now stop claiming that no WMD were found, as they clearly were?

Can we now stop claiming that no WMD were found, as they clearly were?
actually, they were not found. to be a wmd, the wmd must work. the
old junk that was found was completely inoperable and had degraded
far beyond repair. i'm surprised you didn't know that.
Since John was there and you weren't I'll take his word over yours on this.

Worse -- far worse -- is the fact that it was a pre-1991
dud. The first Bush disaster (Poppy) knew about it
(and others) and didn't care... just like Clinton... exactly
like Dubya before the 2003 invasion.
Bush could have identified it -- and others -- as WMDs
BEFORE the invasion, and the U.N. inspectors would
have destroyed them.
Problem was, it was already considered destroyed.
The shell had been fired more than ten years earlier,
the chemicals mixed inside the warhead. Which is
why the sarin degraded to such a poor state that it
could do little more than make unprotected men at
close vicinity a little sick.

Bad news for you guys:
How is this bad news?
The country's Democrats are counting on the next POTUS to cut and run
and none of the front runners can promise to do that.
³Cut and Run² the way Reagan did?
Reagan screwed the pooch on a lot of things the worst being his inaction
concerning terrorists.
It would not be irresponsible (didn't they teach you in lawyer school
that double negatives are tres gauche?) if we *HAD* made a mistake.
No double negative in my statement.
However the boys fighting this war and the ones lining up to join and
get in on it know that we're winning it.
You are kidding yourself. From what I have seen, most know we are
losing - big time.
However, it is idiotic to say they can guarantee they can get the
troops out without first seeing what kind of mess the Republicans got
us into. It was a stupid question.
It was a very telling question. If your hopes come true these people who
you're pinning all your hopes on have admitted that they don't have a
clue what they'd do.
They are doing something that most people ³claim² they want politicians
to do but donıt like it when they do it. They telling the truth. Bush
has dug us into a hole. He is a liar who canıt be trusted. I believe
those who say they want us out. However, I understand that when the
Commander In Chief is a corrupt liar it is hard to know what is ahead
until you get in and see the truth.

Dems can't make guarantee on Iraq troops
By BETH FOUHY, Associated Press Writer

The leading Democratic White House hopefuls conceded Wednesday night
they cannot guarantee to pull all U.S. combat troops from Iraq by the
end of the next presidential term in 2013.
"I think it's hard to project four years from now," said Sen. Barack
Obama of Illinois in the opening moments of a campaign debate in the
nation's first primary state.
"It is very difficult to know what we're going to be inheriting," added
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York.
"I cannot make that commitment," said former Sen. John Edwards of North
Carolina.

Fascinating group of lies you manage in a single sentence.
You really should write for the DNC.
This is the Truth about Clintons bombing of Serbia and Kosovo, while
Bill Clinton was being impeached.
Fact: Serbia never threatened the USA, and was a friend and ally of
the US. The United Nations Forensic Units said there was no "ethnic
cleansing." It was a lie created by the Clintons and the Democrats to
get your mind off Bill Clinton's impeachment and Monica Lewinsky's
blow jobs.
Hillary Clinton ordered now ex-general "Weasel" Clark to bomb civilian
targets in the city of Kosovo for 78 days...and not Serbian
combatants. The result was Hillary Clinton is personally responsible
for murdering 250,000 Christian women and children. Hillary Clinton is
now the most famous Mass Murderer in history.
The result was that the Muslim terrorists who invaded Serbia from
Muslim Albania, who came from Chechnya, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia,
Syria, Iraq, Iran, Yemen, and other terrorist countries, and found the
US weak, stupid, and confused about the real intentions of the Islamic
World-Wide Jihad...and thus became emboldened. The murder of 3,000
Americans on September 11, 2001 was a direct result of the Clintons'
idiotic and mindless, selfish political and psychopathic behaviors
that has put this country and the world in jeopardy.
Serbian soldiers continue to fight on. They know the truth, and the
United States owes the Serbians not only an apology, but massive
reparations for the Clintons and the Democrat Party's destruction of
their country, and Mass Murder on the scale of Hitler.
