I wonder how many of the droolers who want to ban Rowling have actually
read her books? On the other hand, how many of them can even read?

Very few, if any. "The preacher said it and that's gospel."
On the other hand, how many of them can even read?

They do. (http://thebibleletter.com/)
Though it's almost always to make the very point you just did, not to
actually ban it. There have been some attempts to remove it from
government functions (swearing in witnesses, giving oaths of office),
but I don't expect those will get anywhere. What's funny is GOP
bulletins have actually suggested it more than anybody else, claiming
that liberals want to ban the Bible.

So what if the Republicans keep proposing it. A good idea is a good idea!

At least she seems to have drawn attention from Samuel Clemens'
Huckleberry Finn.
Maybe our kids can actually read some good books now. And I'm sure
someone else will eventually draw fire away from Rowlings, as well.
