US Still Unprepared for terrorism |
As if the appalling mismanagement of the two hurricanes, Katrina and
Rita, by the present administration was a traumatic enough wake-up call
on our lack of preparedness for terrorist attacks, now comes a news
item about the limitations of our trauma centers:
http://www.cnn.com/2005/HEALTH/11/07/er.crisis.ap/index.html
How can we be at this position, all these years after 9/11 with all the
promises George Bush has given?
Can you say lies and incompetence?

Well, it isn't about *you. I mean, do something for the peasants? Please.
I don't know if the national news is talking much about us. But the
disaster after the disaster isn't just ongoing, I suspect New Orleans is
pretty much finished. Bush is doing the usual. Giving a big speech then
***** Cheney jingles his keys and Bush wanders off, distracted by the shiny.
Anywho, if you think you've seen corruption and incompetence so far, just
wait for the bird flu to strike. There we'd be talking national crisis.
This bunch can't handle a local one. Wonder if The Party would use such an
event to seize permanent power? Yeesh. Bush as president for life. That's
depressing...

Don't forget malevolence and ignorance.
