US SUPPORT ISRAEL AT ANY COST?
Sen. Ernest Hollings, (Dem.-SC), wrote a column that appeared in several
newspapers. The column asserted that the U.S. war against Iraq represented a
decision by President George Bush to protect Israel and ensure American
Jewish support for his reelection. Hollings maintained that Israel is behind
the Bush administration's decision to invade Iraq. Unfortunately, some
politically incorrect speech is not acceptable particularly among some
radical American Jewish leaders.
There is an unholy alliance between the overly zealous rapture Republicans
and the overly zealous land expansionist pro-Israeli Jewish community. Let
me be very clear, it is wrong-headed to say that if an American does not
pledge allegiance to Israel, then that person is anti-Jewish. Not all Jews
place Israel first before their own country -- but the zealous
land-expansionist Jews are very biased and blinded by their religious faith.
America's Pro-Israel Lobby in Washington is the most powerful and
intimidating organization in our nation's capital. Yes, they have a right to
represent a foreign government, but do they register as foreign agents. Yes,
they works to strengthen U.S. - Israel relations by encouraging Jewish
political activism and student activism in campaigns and elections and by
lobbying Congress, but they have gone too far in defending the nation of
Israel over US strategic interests.
The United States time-honored principle for the "separation of church and
state" is now being seen today as too narrow in scope. It should be referred
to as the separation of religion from the government.
Today, we need the SEPARATION OF SYNAGOG FROM THE STATE. The American Israel
PAC has been trying to intimidate Congress members, that to vote against
Israel is tantamount to being anti-Jewish, which is nonsense. Lobbyists are
in general viewed as the corrupting influence over government. The AIPAC
seek to defeat any politician who even criticizes Israel or its Likud
political leaders.
Now, President George W. Bush is pandering to the Jewish vote with his
"rapture" Republican Neo-Conservatism, which seeks to defend Israel so that
Israel can be destroyed. Once destroyed, then the Rapture Christians believe
that they will go to heaven, because Jesus will return. Many of us who are
not "born-again" rapture republicans find this non-sense. But true
"born-again" believers are hell-bent on defending Israel at any cost and on
any treasonous reason in order to destroy Israel.
For years Americans have been criticizing some elected officials for
promoting the Vatican government -- right or wrong -- particularly on issues
showing preference for the Catholic religion over all others. Now, some
elected officials, like President Bush, are being criticized for pledging
allegiance -- right or wrong -- to Israel and their government and for their
religious right agenda in the US Congress. This type of politics divides the
nation and could result in severe political strife by the electorate.
President Bush is a self-described "born-again" Christian who believes in
the rapture and Armageddon of the Protestant Christian New Testament. His
foreign policy is based on the rapture and seeks to defend Israel against
the entire Muslim world, even when the government goes into Palestine and
destroys people's homes and kills men, women and children in the name of
G*d.
RELIGION IS DIVISIVE.
KEEP RELIGION AND THE GOVERNMENT SEPARATE.
