Daily Herald Staff Reports
The home of a local outspoken atheist was vandalized overnight Friday,
police said -- with eggs tossed at the house and cars, and crosses and
religious words scrawled in chalk on the driveway.
A church bulletin also was stuck on the front door.
The incident comes days after Rob Sherman's daughter, Dawn, led a successful
effort to have the song "God Bless America" yanked from Buffalo Grove High
School's homecoming celebration. Dawn Sherman is a freshman on the student
council.
The vandalism likely was the retaliatory work of youngsters, police Sgt.
Mike Millett said -- since it came on the heels of the school incident and
because one of the chalked words, "Jesus," was misspelled.

Sounds like the work of some "Jesus Camp" graduates.

It's just possible that a sick-*****, mentally depraved species of 'Christian'
conspired to *burn* down *my* home.
Just think of the flagrant, actual *mocking*, violations of Jesus' teachings
these antithetical actions represent. Where, these people need to ask
themselves, is the 'Christian' in these acts of religious obscenity?

A church bulletin also was stuck on the front door.

Better to have stuffed it up their ***** and try to digest the commands and
directives of Jesus *that* way!

The incident comes days after Rob Sherman's daughter, Dawn, led a
successful effort to have the song "God Bless America" yanked from Buffalo
Grove High School's homecoming celebration. Dawn Sherman is a freshman on
the student council.

You see, in another time, another place, hardly anyone would give a hoot
about it. But with the unceasing, unrelenting, crazed efforts on the part of
the religious right to try and force to use their 'free-will' to 'accept'
Jesus as their personal 'Lord and Savior' and to turn our once great country
(it still has elements of greatness though) into a Theocracy we have to try
and put a stop to their efforts to brainwash America. It is the patriotic
thing to do. Think otherwise?

The vandalism likely was the retaliatory work of youngsters, police Sgt.

****************************************************

Goes right along with the fact that the species of way over the top,
religiously 'diseased', so-called 'Christians' have never actually *read*
the bible nor *care* to read it. It's purely a wardrobe accessory for many
an intolerant religious right hatemonger.
And what is so maddening is that this kind of stuff makes the 'real'
Christians practically want to *strangle* the lunatics. And yet when we
attack those demented members of the religious rights by exposing the flaws
in their bible and the theological absurdities they must be forced to
confront, we atheists only end up hurting the very 'Christian' many of us
have come to respect, even admire. What to do?
Out here, there have been 'Christians' who have actually approached the
Presbyterian Minister who has been my sole source of food (excepting some
coffee and creamer purchased online because of my addiction to coffee) and
tried talking him out of providing me anymore food -- in effect, to help
*starve* me to death! Christians torturing atheists (a 'neighbor') for
Jesus. Now hasn't that reached the pinnacle of hypocrisy or what!?
It's going to take Christians of noble heart and virtuous conscience who
actually take Jesus' teachings and directives to heart to band together with
the atheists of good heart and goodwill and work for the common good of us
all to put an end to this kind of religion-based depravity.
In my case out here, its going to take a very strenuous effort on the part
of people of goodwill and who are greatly distressed by the abuse members of
the religious right -- and especially their 'handlers' -- are heaping on
their fellow citizens. The moderate Christians need to take back control
over their religion. The bogus Christians need to be exposed for what they
truly are: 'artificial' Christians. Calls and e-mails to elected officials
need to be quadrupled if these kind of religion-based obscenities are to be
reduced to a minimum.
And, again, referring to myself: I am now nursing what appears to be a bad
groin pull, or may even now have a hernia for all I know. I can't get
medical attention for it due to being under 'Christian' orchestrated 'house
arrest' out here. And as many of you are well aware, medical personnel were
kept away from me despite having badly discolored feet with open cuts that
would not heal -- the result of my diabetic condition -- at the hands of
these depraved people. 'Christian's following not the teachings of Jesus,
but a new 'Messiah' -- 'Dan of Marinette'. Only this Christian 'Messiah' has
no conscience whatever and is only using, manipulating, others for his very
own, personal, self-serving needs and wants.
Okay. I went off the deep-end again. I apologize. But damn, this irrational
hate of the atheist must come to grinding halt. Our difference with the
Jesus people is one of *opinion*. Atheists aren't the ones bombarding the
air-waves and going from door to door in an attempt to coerce people to
believe in things they choose not to believe. Let *them* die happy that they
found Jesus in their lives. Leave others to form their own opinions and
beliefs and *let* them have the same right to 'believe' ... or not.
Hope to hear something positive later today in regards to my plight.
In the meantime, now is the time to try and get locally elected officials up
to speed as to what some members of Jesus' 'army' are doing in the name of
Jesus around the country. They should be made aware that atheists are being
treated like the Jew in Hitler's Germany with no qualms about it in the
least!
Asking a Christian minister to try and help starve someone to death simply
because of that person's lack of belief. Mind-numbing, isn't it?

Isn't that pathetic? They actually misspelled Jesus.

I've taken precautions. I set up a 4-cam video surveillance system.
Suddenly the neighborhood kids are behaving themselves.

Oddly enough, my house got egged a while back, on the day after I
verbally engaged a couple missionaries from the local fundie church
who had appeared at my door with tracts.
I can't *prove* that the fundies did it - nobody chalked crosses or
"Jebus" on my driveway - but I found the timing of the egging to be
very suspicious.
