A somber President Bush went on TV last night to say: 'Schools should
be places of safety, sanctuary and learning. When that sanctuary is
violated, the impact is felt in every American classroom, in every
American community.
"'We hold the victims in our hearts. We lift them up in our prayers,'"
per David Williams of the Daily Mail.
No matter how the secularists scream for their manufactured
"separation of church and state," it never works when tragedy befalls
America.
Drawing on their Judeo-Christian heritage, Americans go to prayer.
When violence struck Virginia Tech, the US President reminded those in
pain that they will be remembered in the prayers of concerned citizens.
When natural disaster strikes anywhere in our nation, we go to prayer.
We call on God. We walk into sanctuaries to be quiet, meditate and
pray. We phone friends to ask them to intercede before heaven's
throne. We remember the stricken in our public prayers the next Lord's
Day.
Secularism does not hold up when our backs are against the wall.
Yet this Eastertide, the Dems via their Chairman Howard Dean muffled
the Easter greeting by not mentioning one word regarding the
resurrection or Christ. It was the typical double-talk in
quasi-religious jargon so as not to offend. That is typical of the Dem
legacy of secularism championed, though some within that party try to
appear biblical when addressing evangelicals or Catholics.
This is the Dem definition of Easter per AFA Action Alert: "'Easter
Sunday is a joyful celebration. The holiday represents peace,
redemption and renewal, a theme which brings hope to people of all
faiths.' The DNC refused to even mention Jesus or the Resurrection,
the very heart of Easter."
Dean praises himself in being a loyal churchmen, though he has hopped
denominations as a sport over the years. Now he lands in the
theologically liberal United Church of Christ (Congregational) where
one can be an atheist and find comfort. Consequently, his lack of
biblical conviction in speaking for the Dems at Easter is
characteristic of his unbelief and that of his denomination.
However, for the grassroots Americans, they believe in the power of
prayer. When TV cameras nose in on common folk during a hurricane or
tornado aftermath, it is typical for those interviewed to speak of
their faith in God, prayer, and Christian friends who stood by them.
It is also typical of churches to open their doors to provide shelter,
food and clothing as well as the usual spiritual assistance.
Now we have been slapped around again by a zealous gun fanatic. He
laid low those on campus. Blood flowed freely. Students jumped from
fourth floor windows in order to escape death.
So it was that the President came to the door of our hearts. Then he
reminded us all that we are "lifted up in prayers."
Typical America. And we cannot afford to lose that typical by
secularists wiping our heritage out. It only takes one generation for
that disfavor to take place.
Believers: beware.

.. . . You can't understand a phrase such as "Congress shall make no law
respecting an establishment of religion" by syllogistic reasoning. Words
take their meaning from social as well as textual contexts, which is why "a
page of history is worth a volume of logic." New York Trust Co. v. Eisner,

USAF LT. COL (Ret) Buffman (Glen P. Goffin) wrote
"You pilot always into an unknown future;
facts are your only clue. Get the facts!"
That philosophy 'snipit' helped to get me, and my crew, through a good
many combat missions and far too many scary, inflight, emergencies.
It has also played a significant role in helping me to expose the
plethora of radical Christian propaganda and lies that we find at
almost every media turn.
