His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI is attempting to not only set the moral
compass for the RCC, but he is also acting to save the American RCC
from bankruptcy. Homosexual priests with sexual tendencies for alter

Vatican set to ban gay men joining priesthood
HOMOSEXUALS, even those who are celibate, will be barred from becoming
Roman Catholic priests under stricter rules soon to be released,
according to reports yesterday.
A Church official "with authoritative knowledge of the new rules" was
quoted as saying the question was not "if it will be published, but
when", referring to the new ruling about homosexuality in Catholic
seminaries.
The official, who did not wish to be named, said that while Pope
Benedict XVI had yet to sign the document, which will apply to the
Church worldwide, it would probably be released in the next six weeks.
Although work on the document began years ago under Pope John Paul II,
who died in April, its release would be a defining act in the young
papacy of Benedict.
The new Pope is a conservative who said last spring that there was a
need to "purify" the Church after deeply damaging sex scandals of the
last several years

What he's saying her is that faith is easy: you just have to be
born with it. There is no free will. One collection of traits is
related to another so firmly that there is no avoiding it: the will is
subject to natural laws as surely as a rock falling from a cliffside,
there is nothing that can change it, some men are condemned from birth
and the gifts of God are not merely struggles, sometimes they're
outright a-priori condemnations.
By replacing Catholicism with Calvinism, Benedict will be
remembered as a man who destroyed an ancient institution.

Very interesting, Elf. So by excluding traits of birth, he is also excluding
a point of redemption?? I am not a Catholic, and so can't understand all

This particular pontiff is (in this case) a fool. While the victims
may have been mostly boys, that may simply reflect the fact that boys
were more accessible to them. What he'll end up doing is to boot the
obviously gay priests, while the pedophiles (gay or straight) will make
sure they aren't thought to be gay in order to keep their access to
children. The result will be a higher rate of pedophilia among
priests than before, as priests who are not pedophiles are shown the
door in disproportionate numbers. And since he'll have fewer priests,
at least for a while, the remaining ones will have less time so
there will be less supervision.
This might be comical if it didn't hurt innocent priests and if it
didn't increase the risk to children. Unfortunately it will do both.

I have it on good authority that the Pope is going to use his "Papal Infallibility" to
determine who is gay. Every week he will be handed a list of names of candidates for
the priesthood. As he scans the list God will tell him who is gay.
