Vet Whose Brother Was on Site at the Pentagon After 9/11: We Served. How About You, Karl? |
http://takeittokarl.blogspot.com/
I am an Vietnam-era veteran of the Air Force. I too had friends who
never came back from 'Nam, and many of those who did were never and
will never be the same. My father is a WWII Navy veteran, one brother
is a Navy veteran, two brothers are Army veterans, including one who
saw combat in the Gulf War.
One of the latter is now a Virgina police officer who spent the entire
week after September 11 on-site at the Pentagon.
We may not have all agreed politically in the past, but to a man, we
agree that was the reason we all served... that we wanted to protect
the right to have an opinion and a point of view.
Karl Rove, who received a draft deferment and never served, has the
audacity to smear anyone who does not have the same opinion as he does
as unpatriotic and cowardly.
Karl, we have earned the right to disagree. Have you?

You're saying other people don't have the right to disagree then. That
explains why you whined about the French, Germans, Russians, and
almost everyone else in the world, when they disagreed with you about
Iraq. Too bad you didn't listen when they disagreed with you. they
were right; you were wrong. But you have the right to disagree because
you are American.

Rove isn't denying you the right to disagree. Nor is he smearing
everybody who disagrees with him. He was very specific about the people
he was criticizing, and his criticism was entirely appropriate.
