Video showing President George W Bush being warned on the eve of
Hurricane
Katrina that New Orleans' flood defenses could be overcome has emerged.
The footage, obtained by the Associated Press, also shows Mr Bush
being told
of the risk to evacuees in the Superdome.
Speaking by video link from his Texan holiday ranch on 28 August,
Mr Bush tells
federal disaster officials: .... "We are fully prepared to help."
Critics say more could have been done sooner to evacuate the city.
Mr Bush does not ask any questions as the situation is outlined to him.

I've just seen a video which shows George W. Bush IGNORING the advice
of his closest friends and going out in a storm WITHOUT a proper
raincoat, WITHOUT a muffler and WITHOUT the need for an umberella of
ANY KIND!
As a result he got SOAKING WET and had to go home and change his
clothes.
This demonstration by a very President of the Unstated Nites just goes
to show how BRAVE an American can actually be when faced by wind and
rain in this fashion.
If President Bush can go out in the winter in his summer clothes then I
think the rest of us should too!
