What About Intelligent Tweaking? Intelligent Meddling? |
We need to introduce as many terms as possible to apply to origins.
Otherwise, the theist will think he is proving creationism just by
'thinking' he is disproving evolution. We need to start filling in some
of the other possibilities with new catch phrases he can grasp onto. It
would make the debate much easier for atheists. By getting rid of the
either/or illogic being used by theists we could get their brain to
hurt that much sooner.
Intelligent Tweaking:
God gets involved when he is bored. He makes small adjustments like
sending a man in his image down to be crucified.
Intelligent Meddling:
God gets malevolent when he is bored. He throws a wrench in the works
and watches the hilarity ensue. Tsunami's, etc.
What do you think?

Intelligent temper tantrums. Noah's ark
Its sobering to realize we have had 6 known major
extinctions, including 250 million years ago when 90%
of life on earth died out.

Ever hear of "Ockham's Razor"?
Otherwise, the theist will think he is proving creationism just by

What such theists "think" is irrelevent. Much to their chagrine,
their wishful thinking does not dictate the existence or non-existence
of plain, easily observable and fully repeatable facts.
We need to start filling in some

Nope. If what's in plain sight and under their noses doesn't do it,
nothing will.
It
would make the debate much easier for atheists. By getting rid of the
either/or illogic being used by theists we could get their brain to
hurt that much sooner.

I think that as far as "arguments" offered by atheists go, it's... how
to say... hmmnn... "ineffective", to put it as nicely as I possibly
can. Even if it were tried, they wouldn't hear it any more than they
hear reality itself. There is no "debate", they just refuse to open
their eyes to the world around them.
There may well even _be_ some sort of "intelligent tweaking" or
whatnot, there is nothing about the TOE that would exclude it and
there never has been. They've consistently refused to acknowledge
this fact. They wouldn't acknowledge it any more if the above were
said than they do now.
