It is NOT about being good, for ALL have sinned, it is about being forgiven,
and the opportunity to be forgiven was NOT given until the cross, so yes,
ALL people went to hell, but because God is kind and merciful, He
resurrects, regenerates or as the eastern religions call it, reincarnates
people who died before the cross, back into human flesh to live on the earth
again, so they would have the opportunity to be forgiven because of the
cross as well. But since it has been 2,000 years since that opportunity of
the cross was given, YOU have NO excuses for YOUR SINS and YOU will be sent
to hell, unless you repent and walk in the ways of God.

My wife says that in the christian faith they do not teach or believe
in reincarnation only resurrection at the time of the second coming.
Also, Jesus taught that although we are sinners, if we believe we will
be forgiven for our sins, not that we will no longer sin.

then might the christer legitimately consider themselves smarter than
