Object: What do you think?
It is a scientific proven fact that prayer does chance circumstances.
A study was done where those with cancer and certain diseases were prayed
for and they made progress and those that weren't prayed for didn't make as
much.

Look at it like this. What if some salesman sold you a "cure all"
elixer. When you got home you discovered that it was nothing but tap
water. You return and ask for your money back. The salesman responds by
saying, "Prove to me it didn't help you."

You do a double-blind, randomized, controlled and peer reviewed study.
Thats all. And ALL studies so far show prayer to work. Go figure, eh?

Really? Is that why you'll be checking into a hospital asap when your *****
gets sick instead of bolting for the nearest church? Then when the latest
medical science heals you, you'll be thanking your god for that...
Idiot.

Oh dear....
"Nick told TruthOrFiction.com in January of 2002 that his wife was
doing well". Not that she was cured, or in remission, but "doing
well". We don't know if she's undergoing conventional medical
treatment (which probably is, unless she's mad) and if she is, how are
we to differentiate the effect of that from any effect prayer might or
might not have had? The only experimental study methodology I can
think of would be a tad unethical, though I suppose the figures for
spontaneous remission of cancer in hard-core Christian Scientists
might make for interesting reading in that regard...

Well, that isn't really the same thing, is it?
You posted the following without citation:

A study was done where those with cancer and certain diseases were prayed
for and they made progress and those that weren't prayed for didn't make as
much.

When asked for a cite for such a study, presumably one that had not
been proven false, inconclusive, unsupportable, skewed, biased or
unrepeatable, you provide the link at the top about a completely
unrelated story from a "rumor" website.
Now, do you have proof that your original claim actually happened, or
was that just something you heard from an equally gullible christer.

That study was for people who prayed for themselves. The study done
where people prayed for others showed no difference in condition of the
targets of the prayer, who btw had no idea they were being prayed for.

They need to break this down into different religious groups in order to
test the efficacy of the various deities.
