And both are now in better shape than they ever were...
The Bushies _need_ them. An early victory, with Osama bin Laden's head on a
platter and Afghanistan _fully_ invested by our troops, would have destroyed
both of them. Instead, Bush keeps them alive, blames "them liberals" for
losing the battles against them, and keeps them available for the next
terror attack the NeoCons need.

It's just another way to get people to vote for them, like the
abortion issue. They'll tell their voters that they have to go to the
polls and elect "family values" and "anti-terrorism" candidates, but
they won't ever allow abortion to be criminalized, or the war to end.
Once they do, what issues do they have to get the voters to the polls?

neocons can't tell the difference between one Moslem and another. To
