Editorial Reviews
Amazon.com
The unlikeliest cult hit of 2004 was What the (Bleep) Do We Know?, a lecture
on mysticism and science mixed into a sort-of narrative. Marlee Matlin stars
in the dramatic thread, about a sourpuss photographer who begins to question
her perceptions. Interviews with quantum physics experts and New Age authors
are cut into this story, offering a vaguely convincing (and certainly
mind-provoking) theory about... well, actually, it sounds a lot like the
Power of Positive Thinking, when you get down to it. Talking heads (not
identified until film's end) include JZ Knight, who appears in the movie
channeling Ramtha, the ancient sage she claims communicates through her
(other speakers are also associated with Knight's organization). What she
says actually makes pretty good common sense--Ramtha's wiggier notions are
not included--and would be easy to accept were it not being credited to a
35,000-year-old mystic from Atlantis. --Robert Horton

I saw a bunch of copies in my local Hollywood Video and was intrigued.
I looked the movie up amazon and after reading some of the reviews, my
intrigue dropped like a ton of bricks
------------------------------------
The writers of this movie are very good at using rhetoric and fallacy
to get their points to seem valid. There is very little that can be
considered redeeming about this movie. As others have said, this is an
attempt by Ramtha/JZ Knight and her cult followers to spread their
religion under the guise of science. I suggest reading some skeptical
reviews regarding this movie before you buy into the propaganda.

It's a shame so many people really buy into this kind of thing without
investigating the claims.
------------------------------------
This only science used in this film is psychology, specifically, the
sort of mass movement deprogramming used by Scientology, Landmark forum
and countless others to undermine your sense of identity and rational
thought so that you become receptive to the ideas of the cult, in this
case "Ramtha" cultists, who financed, produced and directed this
cleverly(?) designed piece of pulp new age propoganda...
Do your own searches and you will find a LOT of information.
------------------------------------
Many of the positive reviews seemed to be rather vapid, from people who
didn't care if it was true or not as long as it made them feel good and
sounded scientific
Needless to say, I am glad I didn't waste money on that peice of drek.

I didn't waste any money on it. Downloaded it out of curiosity going back
to when my former shrink recommended it after we were talking about my
interest in science, physics, and quantum physics.
I watched about the first half of it....click.
