Whatever happend to...? |
I remember many years ago hearing ongoing stories from, I think, South
Carolina, of some religious fanatic kid about 12 years old, who would
stand near a school (I think it was his grade school?) every morning
before class and preach fire and brimstone at every kid and their
parents who would walk by. It seems like I heard about this for months.
The school suspended him or tried to, and tried to keep him away from
preaching. His parents were religious fanatics too, who encouraged
their son and fought his suspension. Finally I saw them interviewed on
TV where they gave a bunch of ramblings about Catholics, atheists etc.
What I remember most is that anger and hatred in the kid's voice and his
mannerisms while he preached. It was very disturbing to say the least.
If anyone remembers this story, have you ever heard what became of
him? Does anyone at least remember his name so I can search the net?

I just got home. I have an iced mocha from Starbucks. I sit down to
read the latest posts on alt.atheism, and I take a gulp from my
mocha...and it spurts out of my nose when I read this post!

I can't remember their name, but Dan Barker describes a TV show he and
they were on, in Losing Faith in Faith.

I remember the kid in question, but I couldn't turn up anything in a
