Has-been or half-assed or hatemonger would be the most appropriate for
Jesus. Hemorrhoidal, HIV-having, Hoohah would probably all be good
alternatives in his case too.

As an eddicated guess, I'd say it stands for "Holy". Probably started
as "Holy Jesus Christ!", mutated into "Jesus Holy Christ!", then got
abbreviated.

as "Holy Jesus Christ!", mutated into "Jesus Holy Christ!", then got
abbreviated.

Just a guess, but it sounds good.

There are a lot of websites that cite the possible origin from the Greek
letter "eta" which can resemble an H, or the Latin phrase "Jesus Hominum
Salvator", but I seriously doubt anything that intelligent was behind it
all. I mean, the phrase rolls off the tongue like "y'all come back now, ya
hear?"
