At least those who believe in God can look foward to going somewhere
when they die. Atheists can only look foward to being worm food, that's
it.

You say that as though it's a bad thing. Have you got something
against the food chain? Sorry to have to tell you, but that's all
you have to look forward to, also. Unless, of course, you plan to
leave your body to science which will also put it to good use. Or,
you could simply be cremated.
Life is just matter and energy - two forms of the same thing. It's
what we start out with, live as and die as. Learn to live with this.
Christians like you fear death so much that you make your life a
living hell. You waste so much of your lives worrying uselessly
about this that you forget to live. Your religious fears ruin the
only life you'll ever have. Atheists don't worry uselessly about
death. We live.

'Cuz their religion makes life so unpleasant in the here and now, they
could never push it on people without promising something to make life
worth living. The sad part is, life IS worth living in the here and

when they die.
Which is irrelevant to the truth or falsity of such a belief.
Atheists can only look foward to being worm food, that's
it.
Which is again, irrelevant.
Your point was...?

Death is not something to look forward to. You can get all kinds of
strange ideas when you believe that 99 virgins are awaiting you on the
other side.

What I find funny about these, "you have nothing to look forward to
after death" arguments, is that, fundys are in the same boat. They just
don't realize it, or, more accurately, don't want to realize it.
But we are all headed towards the same fate. There is no after life, no
heaven, hell, purgatory, limbo, what have you. There is just the long,
slow process of returning to the universe, in raw form, to be recycled
into something else.
I figure it this way. If I'm young enough, when I die, spread my parts
as far as possible, to help as many as possible, continue to live.
Then, take what's left, cremate it, put it in a sky rocket, and launch
my ashes on August 4th of what ever year. Kind of speed the process up
that way, and I get to go out again, with a bang.
