Object: What's up with the immigration controversy?
Not to be a total retard, or anything, but why is immigration reform all of
a sudden the most pressing issue facing America in, well, ever?
I mean, most people agree it's been a problem for like 30 years.
Administrations of both parties have either ignored it, or granted amnesty.
All I know is, I wake up one morning and there's like thousands of wetbacks
marching in the streets, Michelle Malkin's face is contorted in rage over
the shabby condition of the border, Bush is being referred to as El
Presidente Jorge Arbusto, by conservatives, and John Derbyshire is pounding
his sippy cup on his highchair again.
And I'm like...what happened? Do we really need to solve this in like the
next two months? Problem's been around a while, right? What's changed in
the last 6 months that makes this Issue Numero Uno on the nation's
political agenda? Seriously. What?

Because elections are coming up and the Republicans have been such
immoral and greedy thieves that they're trying to create a
distraction. Pete Wilson used the same tactic in California about
20 years ago.

Because the overwhelming majority of U.S. residents finally have had
it with a government that acquiesces to total anarchy by illegal aliens
while daily bullying citizens! Americans have had it with "our"
government demanding from us compliance with myriad laws even judges
can't agree on the meaning of - while that same government acquiesces
to not only illegal border crossing by illegal aliens, but also their
near-universal use of aliases, fake or fraudulent driver's licenses,
fake or fraudulent green cards, fake or fraudulent Social Security
cards, and overwhelming unlicensed and uninsured driving. We've
finally had it with "our" government talking amnesty for a subculture
where "off-the-books" untaxed work is the norm - at the same time an
ever-increasing percentage of Americans have had a family member
victimized in an IRS snafu by that same brutalitarian regime that
doesn't mind the illegals' "off-the-books" untaxed work one bit. We've
finally had it with seeing our American grandmas felt up by airport
screeners in the name of "homeland security" by the same government
that doesn't care what name "Juan" last used before skipping bail the
latest time.

They have? Where are they? Where are the feet in the street? THe biigest
bunch this "overwhewlming majority" has been able to field is the
"Minutemen" and their number doesn'/t compare with the SMALLEST of the
"illergal alien" protest marches.
This has all the earmarks of a George Soros production designed to help the
Democrats in November. If not, he's got to be laughing loudly every moment
of every day.

Total bull.

Tell me about it. Why, everybody knows that the immigration
problem is the result of abortion on demand. It's not like you
can expect Americans to run around policing their own borders
in the afternoon, not after a morning of devouring fetal corpses
freshly ripped from the wombs of unrepentent lesbians.
But just try explaining that to one of these nuts. Will they listen?
Heck, no!
But I suppose that's why we call them nuts, isn't it?
Anyhow, God bless you & George Bush.

Because it is really important for people not to think about the war.
It is really important for people to think about Mexicans and gay marriage
instead of the war. Or FEMA. Or the NSA.

The Repubs are trying to make it an "issue", because it's one of the few
things that GW hasn't totally fucked up already. Now that his approval
ratings are less than 50% even among hard-core Repubs, they are starting
to worry.

I don't think the Republicans necessarily want the attention to be on
immigration. Especially since they've been blowing it so badly.
