When Humans Were Cat Chow - More Evidence of Evolution |

"Two hundred thousand years ago or thereabouts, an African lion killed
someone. Along with a meal, the big cat got a wicked stomachache. Today
a record of that unfortunate death still survives, in the bacteria that
make big cats sick."

What do you mean, "when" humans were lion chow? Give a Christian a few
beers, point him at the nearest lion cage, and he can't wait to get in
there to show Kitty who's boss!

All bets are not on the cat chow.

Dunno, but those Romans were as cruel to their lions as they were to
Christians. The SPCA would have shut them down in a minute.

I'm sure of it. When they got bored killing xtians, they staged
animal-animal or animal-gladiator fights. To the death, of course.

I gather that the stories of lions and stuff are expedient fictions designed
to make Xtianity seem 'heroic' and 'persecuted', when in fact it mostly
wasn't:

Yep...the last gladiatorial bout was in the early 5th century, more than
75 years after Christianity became the established religion.
The practice started in the 3rd Century BC and lasted nearly 700 years.
It was Julius Caesar who turned into a big business, though.
