If we're going to use "belief" to describe science, then we need to find
another term for what the religious folk do. "Accepting what you have
evidence to support" and "taking something as truth based on nothing but
'feelings'" are two totally different ways to define "believe."

Because it's a collection of beliefs. Such as the belief that the earth is
round, the belief that the earth goes around the sun, the belief that the
planets go around the sun. And these beliefs are organized into a system,
just like a religion. Both religion and science are just a paradigms by
which people interpret the world, and that makes them both belief systems.

No it doesn't. Religion consists of dogmatic beliefs, with no evidence
to back it up. Science consists of theories that explain empirical
data. Methinks they are different things.

All you people keep ranting about is Christianity! The only true belief
is the paramatma. It is the supreme "soul" into which all atma's
(individual souls) will merge once they are free from the cycle of birth
and death!

By remembering the paramatma in devotion
throughout one's life, and especially
at the time of death, one can attain to
His supreme abode, beyond the material world.
