Who should not vote? |
I used to be a vigorous supporter of getting out the vote. Recently,
however, second thoughts have reared their heads. Considering the opinions
expressed by acquaintances and looking about at the ways some folks conduct
their affairs, I am coming to the realization that many people are assholes
and I don't like them having a hand in choosing the officials who control
our world.
I've developed an incomplete list of people who should not vote:
.People who have never voted or who have not voted for five years,
continue to avoid the ballot box, please.
.People who appear on concocted reality shows and those who take them
seriously, please do not vote.
.People who believe that cosmic aliens abduct, build pyramids, fly in
saucers, or watch us, refrain from voting, I beg of you.
.People who, after a two-year campaign, have still not decided on a
candidate, please do not flip a coin on election day; just remain in mental
limbo.
.People who have blind faith in the supernatural, the spiritual, or the
occult, please don't cast a ballot.
.People who are not thoughtful, who are not considerate, and who drive
slowly in the passing lane, do no voting, please.
.People who think Sasquatch, Yeti, Nessi, or other inevident creatures
surely exist, may stay home on election day.
.People who trust the word of others without checking facts,
researching, or at least soliciting other views, I ask that you eschew
elections.
As previously mentioned, this list can bear more entries. Feel free
to add.

I've developed an incomplete list of people who should not vote:
We're gonna vote for Kerry-Edwards Nov.2 whether you like it or not.

People who take it upon themselves to decide who should or should not vote -
please refrain from casting a ballot.

You mean ploker Bob?
And how about Open Source Zealots?
Since the voting machines are not Linux, they to should stay home.

Anyone who still calls themselves, "undecided", not only should't be able to
vote, they shouldn't be able to reproduce!
