Why are atheists so totally .................... |

If the average atheist has even an inkling about what he's professing, there
could be an intelligent conversation in the offering. As it is, atheists are
just flat out dumb about God.
Each and every word out of the average atheist's mouth professes an idea that is
totally ludicrous - totally insane.
And to think they then reject God on that ignorance

I think you are right. I started out my school "career" in a private
Christian school where we read and memorized bible passages in some
classes. Also, my parents took me to church up until high school.
I'm an Atheist. I've probably read the bible more than most
Christians. Most Christians on the other hand have not made an effort
to learn science and in particular Evolution.
By the way, I'm new here. I think I'll be spending some time in this
forum. This subject of creationism vs. evolution was reawoken in me
when I heard about the recent decision of the Kansas school board. I
am mostly an economic conservative and have voted straight ticket
Republican since I've been able to vote. I am not happy that religion
has taken over the Republican party and will definately consider
voting Democrat in future elections...even though I don't agree with
some positions of the Democratic party.

I would not call the current Republican party anything close to
conservative, in anything. They are on a spending binge, they are
doing all they can to infringe into peoples lives in the name of
security, they want to control lives through the application of more
and more legislation, and they think all of us should believe in their
gawd. Nothing "conservative" in anything they are doing.
