Object: Why "Dear"?
Why does everyone call each other 'Dear' in this group? Is it some sort
of meeting place for old ladies and overly camp school teachers?
Seems bizarre to me.

Well dear, while the term is used, either as a term of playful
affection, or sarcasm, I don't see it that much. Are you perhaps for
one reason or another sensitised to the term?

Well dear, while the term is used, either as a term of playful
affection, or sarcasm, I don't see it that much. Are you perhaps for
one reason or another sensitised to the term?

Just sounds like an attempt at being condescending to me. Is that the
intention?

When I use the expression "deary", I'm definitely being condescending. Can't
speak for anyone else.
