Why Does God Hate Africa? |

reveals that fears are rising that the bluetongue virus, transmitted
by the Culicoides imicola midge, has been moving northwards,
presumably because of more favorable conditions as the globe warms up.
This virus plagues sheep horribly (now are the fiundies going to blame
it on the evil lifestyles of homosexual sheep, I wonder?)
Prior to this it was confined to more southerly lattitudes, and to
Africa, along with a host of other plagues and diseases that, if we
are to stay in accord with Christian mythology, God apparently
purposely designed to plague the Africans.
Why is that? Why does he hate them do much? He's stuck them with
malaria, with HIV, with Ebola. If these things had happened in Israel
a few dozen centuries ago,we would read about them in the Bible -
plagues upon the Hebrews for their sinful way of life. Is it any
different now? Why do we not hear the Bible huggers decrying Africans
for their sinful lives - telling them to repent so that God will
repeal his plagues?
Is it that there is a double standard? Is it that when people were
too stupid to understand that God had nothing to do with the fortunes
or misfortunes of a people, these same events were ascribed to god,
but these days, when we know perfectly well that they have nothing
whatsoever to do with any god's pleasure or displeasure, we ascribe
them correctly, to viruses, and environment, and living conditions,
and hygiene?
Why is it, then, that they cannot take the next step and grasp the
fact that if god has nothing to do with them today, he had nothing to
do with them in the past, either, and the Bible is full of lies?

The Bible, once again, makes a more cogent prediction than
evolution...they're the seed of Cain...or is that Abel...?

No, no, no, no, no, don't be silly. The *viruses* are
"god's" favorite children, not us. We were put here so
the viruses could "go forth and multiply". How arrogant
humans are to think the world was made for us.
