Object: Why Does God Hate Dark-Skinned People So Much?
I mean if you're going to claim the unvierse demands a god, then you
also have to face up to the whole package: in this case, it also
demands that if a god created everything, he really doesn't like
dark-skinned people very much:
http://www.cnn.com/2006/HEALTH/conditions/06/06/blacks.breast.cancer.ap/index.html
and he has an inordinate fondness for beetles (or is it nematode
worms?)....

I was talking with a fundie who claimed that AIDS was God's cure for
homosexuality (nice guy, God). So I told him "I see what you're trying
to say, but if anything, it's God's cure for black people - over 90% of
AIDS victims are black."
He wouldn't talk to me again, and I know that he's used the cure for
homosexuality argument since then. Strange guy.

God screwed up big time in the garden.
Does God screw up in heaven as well?

Proven facts as opposed to the word of someone described in a book,
the Bible, which contains nothing but disproven ***** and
speculation. Only a psychopath would follow it. The fact that there
are so many psychopaths doesn't add a vestige of truth. Your failure

You think the bacterial biomass is bigger than nematodes? I can never
figure out how they calculate this to begin with and hope to have a
meaningful result! It was actually J.B.S.Haldane who made the beetles
remark originally, as far as I know, so I guess you'd have to decide
whether fondness is defined by biomass or number of species

I'm not really sure but they sure as hell out number us. <g>

If you count us as ~six billion, you're right, but what if you "reduce"
us to their format? What's six billion multiplied by a trillion
cells?!! Do they outnumber us then?! (Probably!)
I recently got through reading "Vitals" by Greg Bear, and the premise
of that novel was that it's bacteria which are controlling us on a very
personal level. Great story if you're; interested in that kind of
thing, or if you're a fan of Greg Bear as I am. He sure does it better
than Michael Crichton could have.

I like a lot of his stuff but he really went off the track with "Darwin's
Radio." I tend to think if somebody's going to do "hard" SF, they should
maybe know something about the, oh, science? My "suspension of disbelief"
crashed hard in that one.
On the other hand, "Blood Music" he got away with it...
