Winter Solstice dinner in North Carolina |
The Piedmont Freethought Association will be holding a Winter Solstice
dinner at 5:30 on Sunday, Dec 21 in Greensboro, NC. We have a room
reserved at the Golden Corral restaurant at Wendover Ave., just off I-40.
Please check out the latest group newsletter for details on directions:

(Regarding the Observatory trip, that will most likely be postponed due
to weather this evening... sorry 'bout that!)
Cheers!

Damn! I somehow always forget to add that in.
Happy HanaKwanaSolstiFestiMas-
and (remembering our discussion of the Peace College/Historic Mordecai
neighborhood), may Santa bring you some Krispy Kremes, Joe! Or, better
yet, some Moravian Sugar Cake from Dewey's.

Democracy, n.:
A government of the masses. Authority derived through mass
meeting or any other form of direct expression. Results in mobocracy.
Attitude toward property is communistic... negating property rights.
Attitude toward law is that the will of the majority shall regulate,
whether it is based upon deliberation or governed by passion,
prejudice, and impulse, without restraint or regard to consequences.
Result is demagogism, license, agitation, discontent, anarchy.
