Good question. If I invented a computer program whose sole purpose was to
sing my praises, I would hope someone would have me committed.

So that's the program set that utilizes the single neuron left operational

It's for you, so you can have something to worship. And so it has to be the
Infinite Ultimate, All-Powerful, All-Wise, and All-That, because if it
wasn't then eventually it could be overthrown by something better, which
would leave you doubting, or at best emotionally traumatized.
But why do you need to worship? It's because you get lots of good-feeling
brain chemicals when you worship, but they're best sustained if you truly
believe. It's harder to truly believe when there are other people around who
don't believe, so you have to try to convince them to believe too. But even
if you don't, the act of trying to convince them enhances the flow of the
happy chemicals, so you still get your reward.
You get a whole lot of reward when you're in fellowship with a lot of people
who believe just the same, and have been whipped into a frenzy of happy
chemicals by someone who knows how to manipulate their state of mind. The
more the merrier, because the more believers there are, the harder it is to
break that state of mind.

Hey, I'm the one answering my own questions here!

I'm sure it isn't something that can't be fixed by correcting your attitude.

even

Yes, very. Right now on Daystar they're discussing how to tell the
difference between prophesies that come from the Holy Spirit and those that
don't. Why do those people all have such weird hair? Now there's a piece
about the beauty of God's Rainforest, with serene music sung in Latin, and
peaceful video from a rainforest, maybe in the Pacific Northwestern US?
Actually it isn't bad compared to most of the stuff on Daystar. I thought
Christians hated the rainforest and anything else associated with liberal
treehuggers.
Anyway, I switched over to Daystar to find more examples of creepy brain
chemical manipulation, but maybe that's only in primetime.
But this treehugger thing, which is still on by the way, is actually a good
example of something that can work on atheists and believers alike. I mean,
most atheists do have a sense of awe and wonder about some things, natural
beauty being one of them, and this is the basis for the happy chemicals
released by religious experience.
Aha, CreationScapes, that's what I'm watching. And you can buy the
videotapes and enjoy the beauty of God's creation. Kind of reminds me of the
death room in Soylent Green.

direction (prayers) from idiots like Duke or Xymoron?

A demi god or deamon might.
So the christians/jews/muslims must actually worship a lesser Deamon
with ideas above it's station.

It would seem their omnipotent, omincient, omnibenevolent deity needs to
have it's ego massaged or it gets depressed and starts smiteing it's
followers. You'd think will all the attributed usually ascribed to it that
it would be more secure.

Because many people are insecure so humans created thousands
of gods. They were all worshipped for the simple reason their
gods were supposed to prevent evil things happening to them.

You see, Gawd has low self esteem. It stems from childhood torment at the
