Would it have been legal for Terry Schiavo's husband to have sex with her in that state? |
If she's legally alive and he's legally her husband, couldn't he just
climb on top of her in the hospital and pump away whenever he wants?
Marriage implies sexual consent, unless there is explicit refusal,
does it not?

You fanticize about such things don't you, Stevie boy? Has

Michael Schiavo bonking Terri's biologically active corpse, I can
tolerate. It's a disgusting notion, but I can tolerate the mere
mention of it. Having the dead Pope burst open in a hailstorm of
maggots, I can tolerate the mention of it. Or heavens, even the sight
of it were it to occur. But this? THIS? I think I'm going to be
ill...

Not sure about the implicit sexual consent, but the hospital is a
public place. Other than that, they claim she was aware, so unless she
refuses...

is justly regarded as unsafe to draw any certain inference in
favour of a man's morals from the fervour or strictness of his
religious exercises, even though he himself believe them sincere."

Unless there is consent and cooperation, you are better off with a
piece of raw liver.

"Christians tell me that they love their enemies, and yet all I ask is
not that they love their enemies, not that they love their friends
even, but that they treat those who differ from them, with simple
fairness. We do not wish to be forgiven, but we wish Christians to so
act that we will not have to forgive them."--Robert Green Ingersoll

Sweet zombie Jesus. Even *I* never would have thought of such a thing.
