depreciation by itself added 8% to my 401k. And here's my second
advice to you: going with Warren Buffet will get your farther in life
than listening to the pile of ***** coming out of Donald Luskin, Fred

Funny looking wall, all those ups and downs. Besides, the DOW only
counts 30 industrial stocks and doesn't indicate investment performance
because it doesn't count dividend yield.

on it minus 3% (which is how Bush's plan would have worked) is above
1-year LIBOR in 40 years. I'll spot you a top coat.
Here's a dirty secret that the NeoCon don't tell you. The stock market
works IF you know how it works. What, you mean you don't have
information on cashflow position of all the comapnies, the inside
track with the investement bankers that underwrites the IPOs? Well
then, I guess you'll just have to pay that huge transaction costs to
professionals.
Look, there's no free lunch. The idea that the stock market is paved
with gold and all you have to do is throw money at is ludicrous. This
is why most of the day-traders lose money. The stock market is the
classic alpha-stable distribution, with many small losers and a few
huge winners. I'm willing to bet that neither you, me nor Fred Stone
would be huge winners.

Actually, under the current regime, the chance that you'll recieve
money from your Social security is greater than the US itself
remaining solvent.
This is why economists generally think Bush's social security plan
"reform" is a sham. The deficit Bush ran up in the last two year
would have kept social security solvent *forever*. It's as if an
arsonist who is burning down the house calls the homeowner
irresponsible because he's calling 911 rather than saving that vase in
the kitchen.
Remember that "lock box" Al Gore talked about? Bush looted that clean.

"The market" did significantly better than the best the
Republicans ever managed (under Reagan) when Clinton
was President.
The DJIA grew 125% during Reagan's eight years, and
165% under Clinton.
Even factoring in post bubble, post 9/11, post Bush's
Wall Street pep talk turned mini-crash, closing down
three year in a row (two of them *After* Clinton
left office), "The market" did better under Clinton than
it did under the best the Republcians ever had.

of that in. That was what the growth as of January
of 2003, after the market had just closed down for it's
third straight year in a row (and approaching the second

Bush isn't the best the Republicans ever had. In fact,

Even though Reagan pales in comparison to Clinton,
Bush doesn't even warrant a comparison. Not against
Clinton, not even against Reagan. Bush is clearly out
of their league.
