Something has been eating at me for quite a while. Actually, it has
been eating at me ever since I heard John Kerry say that some of the
verbiage he used during his congressional appearance was a bit “over
the top.” What has been eating at me is the fact the mainstream media
was quick to give Kerry a pass on some pretty damning accusations
about his own comrades in arms while they went out of there way to
insist that President Bush’s only case for removing Saddam Hussein
from power was the existence of weapons of mass destruction. The fact
that Kerry’s accusations were for the most part false and Bush’s
assertions were for the lesser part correct didn’ t seem to matter.
And they say there isn’t a liberal bias in the mainstream media.
Whether the Anti-War Bush-Haters Club wants to admit it or not, the
existence of even one 155mm artillery shell loaded with sarin nerve
agent is a rebuke. It is a rebuke to those who have been dancing in
the streets insisting, even believing, that weapons of mass
destruction, banned substances Saddam Hussein said he had destroyed,
weren’t found. The fact that the Iraqi Survey Group’s chief
inspector, Charles Duelfer, has publicly stated that more of the same
had been found is downright frightening in its prospects. Yet we
don’t hear the mainstream media’s mouthpieces sharing this with the
American public. They would rather talk women’s panties on the heads
of suspected terrorists at Abu Ghraib. I suppose sex sells, right?
David Kay testified that banned weapons components had been moved to
Syria, a known sponsor of terrorism, before and during the beginning
of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Now top United Nations weapons inspector
Demetrius Perricos states as a matter of record that inspectors have
discovered Iraqi missiles or missile parts banned by the United
Nations in junkyards in Jordan and in the Netherlands. They have also
uncovered equipment from Iraqi plants in like junkyards that could
have produced chemical or biological weapons. Still the American
people and the people of the world are not afforded these incredible
revelations by the mainstream media. Did I mention the panties that
were placed on the heads of suspected insurgents at Abu Ghraib?
With these little known facts stated for the public record, one would
think the members of the AWBHC would be walking up the drive at 1600
Pennsylvania Avenue, hat in hand to apologize to President Bush for
calling him a liar. Of course, the thought is rhetorical for two
reasons, the first of which is that I don’t think I have ever heard a
liberal-leftist apologize for being wrong. Given how often they are
wrong, one would think that it would have happened at least once. The
second is that no one is walking up the drive at 1600 Pennsylvania
Avenue these days without an invitation and not getting swarmed.
In times past, the revelations of Duelfer, Kay, and Perricos would
have warranted Walter Cronkite breaking into the primetime line-up
whether he was a closeted liberal or not. Of course in days past
journalists actually had ethics. Reporters weren’t making up stories
and being rewarded with book deals and network talk show interviews
back then. And a suggestion that a news story was editorialized would
have been greeted with the back of the publication’s front door
hitting the one who proposed it.
Which leads me to my point.
Given the pass the mainstream media gave John Kerry for his gross
misstatements of the facts during his congressional testimony about
war atrocities in Vietnam, a legitimate question is posed. Had the
media’s wonder-boy Kerry been in the same position as President Bush,
asserting that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction while
laying out a plethora of legitimate other reasoning for removing the
tyrannical dictator, would the mainstream media have misrepresented
Kerry’s intentions and words the way they have misrepresented
President Bush’s? Yet another question posed is whether the
mainstream media would have afforded a Republican presidential
candidate and his or her team the same leeway to propagate falsehoods,
innuendo, rumor, half-truths, and outright distortions of the truth
that the Kerry team has received this election cycle?
The answer to the first question has already been given with the quote
below. The second question has yet to be answered:

Saddam Hussein wants to retain his arsenal of weapons of mass
destruction and to expand it to include nuclear weapons. We cannot
allow him to prevail in that quest. The weapons are an unacceptable

Hanoi John's Frightening Plans to End the War
You've heard over and over again that John Kerry thinks that terrorism
is a law enforcement problem. Well, just wait until you hear what he
would do with the war on terror if he is elected president. This man
is absolutely frightening.
Rather than continue the policy of destroying terrorists and the
nations that harbor them, Kerry has said he would abandon the
President's war on terror, begin a dialogue with terrorist regimes and
apologize for the
actions of the Bush administration. This is why this man must not be
elected president, ever. In a speech to Council on Foreign Relations,
Kerry called the war on terror "the most arrogant, inept, reckless,
and ideological foreign policy in modern history." Apparently he would
rather return us to the do-nothing appeasement of terrorists that was
the policy under Bill Clinton. Remember, Osama Bin Laden was offered
to the United States on a silver platter and the Clinton
administration said no. What would John Kerry do to prevent another
9/11?
For example, Iran is known to be harboring top Al-Qaeda operatives.
According to an Iranian dissident, the hard-line clerics in Iran fear
George Bush, but are rooting for John Kerry.
If you are actually bright enough to understand that Islamic Jihadists
have vowed to do everything they can to destroy all in the world that
is not Muslim ... and that includes America ... and have promised to
kill as many Americans as they can, wherever they can find them, then
you are bright enough to understand what is at stake in November.
Here is the election in a nutshell:
Islamic terrorists have pledged to see you dead, and your country
destroyed. Who do you want to put in charge of making sure this
doesn't happen?
(A) A man who wants to send the FBI and other law enforcement agencies
out there to find these terrorists, and then turn them over to an
international court to be tried; or,
(B) A man who wants to send the U.S. military to search for these
terrorists and to kill them before they kill us.
It's as simple as that.

Kuby: Berger's 9/11 Paper Pilfer No Accident
Noted civil rights attorney and regular defender of the Clinton
administration Ron Kuby said Tuesday that it's hard to believe former
National Security Advisor Sandy Berger took top secret terrorism
documents from a 9/11 Commission reading room by accident. "Nobody,
nobody inadvertently picks up classified information and walks out
with it. It isn't done," Kuby told his WABC Radio partner Curtis
Sliwa.
Mr. Berger, who now serves as a key advisor to the Kerry-Edwards
campaign on national security issues, told FBI probers that his own
"sloppiness" caused him to begin stuffing his pockets and briefcase
with the top secret papers. But the perpetrator-friendly New York
lawyer wasn't buying his excuses.
"You cannot do this accidentally," he told Sliwa. "You can do it
arrogantly, being so used to your top security clearance that you
figure the rules don't apply to you - and I've seen that in Republican
and Democratic administrations alike. But you don't do it
accidentally."
Kuby insisted that even if Berger had simply removed the notes he made
while viewing the secret Clinton administration terror documents, it
would still be a crime.
"If you're taking notes about classified information, those notes are
now classified. They're placed in a secure area. You can have access
to them only while being viewed by a security officer. Nothing gets
removed."
"It's a crime to remove classified information or to deal with it in a
manner that potentially compromises it," he said.
Kuby said he learned about the security procedures firsthand, when he
was permitted to view classified information during his involvement in
the trial of the first World Trade Center bombers.
"The rules are very strict," he said. "There's somebody monitoring
you. The notes that you take on classified material themselves are
deemed to be classified. You leave everything there."
"You're not permitted to remove anything from that room - period," he
emphasized. "It's a crime to remove classified information or to deal
with it in a manner that potentially compromises it."
