GOP uses CIA as scapegoat for Bush's Iraq intelligence failure[1].
Yeah, trying to stick it to the spooks. The rank and file officers
CAN'T possibly strike back by leaking something embarrassing to the
Bush regime.
[1]And making IAEA and the UN, who rightly called Bush full of *****,
look good.

It's fairly clear, at this point, that the CIA fell prey to a
selective bias. The real question, in my mind, was how much of that
bias came from within and how much of it was motivated from on high.
I don't think that we have a clear answer to that question quite yet.

Actually, we've already established you're a draft dodger. Let me

I don't think that we have a clear answer to that question quite yet.

Off the top of my head, I think it was half a dozen times that Cheney
limoed over to CIA headquarters. According to the writer, that was
unprecedented in U.S. history. The CIA comes to the White House for daily
briefings -- not the other way around.

I would agree that there's a lot of circumstantial evidence that the
Administration was putting pressure on the Intelligence community to
come up with the "right" answer. I just haven't seen anything that
I'd call a smoking gun, yet.

D.C. is covered in smoke these days, and guns litter ever road and alley
between the White House and the CIA. And beneath the guns you'll see
tire tracks from Cheney's limo. ;-)
