Yet more Christian hypocrisy |
Some legislators in Georgia have decided their state needs to apologize
for its part in slavery. One of the replies to this announcement was:
"People shouldn't be held responsible for the sins of their fathers,"
said Senate Majority Leader Tommie Williams. "I personally believe
apologies need to come from feelings that I've done wrong. I just don't
feel like I did something wrong."

On his official Georgia web page,
http://www.legis.state.ga.us/legis/2007_08/senate/williamsbio.php, he
announces himself to be a member of the First Baptist Church of Vidalia,
so I find his stance confusing. Isn't blaming offspring for their
parents' sins the whole point of Christianity? Tch, the poor boy is
headed straight for hell.

Yea, even unto the third and fourth generations!
Exodus 20:5
You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your
God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the
fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,
How many generations since Emancipation? Was Strom Thurmond exempt?

Hate? Jahweh over rates Himself. We don't give a 5h1t.
Also notice that while we're not allowed to believe in other gods, He
certainly does, and He hates their guts.

So... he doesn't believe in "original sin" and doesn't believe anybody
needs "salvation"?
Well, that's progress...
