You thought "Under God" was bad... |
http://www.biae.net/pledge.html
As an American Muslim,
I pledge allegiance to ALLAH and His Prophet,
I respect and love my family and my community,
and I dedicate my life to serving the cause of truth and justice.
As an American citizen, with rights and responsibilities,
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America
And to the republic for which it stands,
one nation,
Under God,
indivisible,
with liberty and justice for all.

withdrawal from Iraq, ask them for a date to give
up on diplomacy with Iran. The Iraq date will be a month
after the Iran date which will be 1 day before Iran is invaded."

I'm not sure what point you're trying to make. *Individuals*
are free to pledge whatever they want. Nobody is asking
me or my children to recite the above pledge in school.
On the other hand, people *have* been talking about
putting the Ten Commandments up in schools, which is
just as restrictive as your example.

I thought "Under God" was bad because once we have that it is much
harder to argue that the above is wrong.
