(~) 10 Minutes of Forgiveness

Wouldn't you love to know forgivenss for just ten minutes?

In one of my recent online workshops, my heart was touched deeply by the
pain I could see in the words of one of my students. "I just don't feel
forgiven, no matter what I do."

I don't know about you, but this struck a familiar cord with me. As I
searched my heart for an answer for her, something to give her comfort and
hope, I found myself typing in -- "Can you allow yourself to feel forgiven
for just ten minutes today?" There was a pause. "Yes. I can do that for
ten minutes," she responded.

"Great, then let's try ten minutes today. See how that feels. Then, maybe
tomorrow you could try fifteen minutes." It was funny how the words just
flowed out. God was at work here.

Right, ten minutes of feeling forgiven . . .wow, what a feeling of freedom
that would be.

If for just that small span of time I would get off my case, allow God to
take my load and enjoy the total peace of His forgiveness.
