<penny_lane@nospam.hotbox.ru> spake thusly:
So I take it you subscribe to the pre-trib rapture
hypothesis huh? That would still put you here
for the first three and a half years.
...Wishful thinking. But I hope you're right. Some
of my best friends are looking forward to that rapture.
It is not taught by the Bible though.
Go fishing elsewhere Dave. I don't do circular logic.
There's a couple of variables missing from the equation
which your position proposes. No, I don't care to state
Book Chapter and Verse. If you dare to call yourself a
Pastor publicly then you must know the parts I mean
much better than I, and I'm sure I've seen several others
in this group state them precisely, but you just ignored them.
Not true. I respond directly. Folks like you,
which you are proving again now, are unable
to support your position and you think that
just saying the name of a verse proves
something, as if the whole world must now
bow down to your understanding of it.
The Bible does not teach a rapture, period.
Now let us prove just how evil YOUR motivation is.
Let us not that you now go into personal attack mode.
Furthermore, your debating techniques are nothing
more than cheap entrapment and I don't like to play
by anybody else's rules except Robert's, especially
if they make them up and/or change them as they
go like you seem to.
I'm calling you a liar. Prove your accusation.
Before starting each formal debate, I have posted
rules that were fair to both sides and were open
for discussion and change and did not begin, until
there were agreed upon rules, since the other side
likes to go into the same mode, in which they attack
personally (as you have proved) and ignore the
specific points made. With each formal debate,
it has been the other person who started throwing
insults and ran away, when their typical end timer
passage quotes didn't work. Every time, they were
incapable of discussing the issue in depth. All they
knew was the end timer catch phrases and how to
quote a portion of a verse, out of context. When
that didn't work, they ran away and started insulting
me in other threads as well, that I wasn't even in.
I stuck to the rules. They didn't. I have whole
threads saved on my system, as proof.
And what are, "Robert's rules"?
I agree with you only in that I believe that Jesus
in on Earth in the hearts of all those who believe
in Him, but I also believe that Scripture states
that He will come and Reign physically on Earth.
I don't wish to debate that and I demand that
you respect that.
I do not respect false teaching. You claim it is
in the Scriptures. Where? Show me one verse
in which the Bible says that Jesus will reign on
Earth, physically. And if you can't, then why do
you believe it?
For your edification, I also agree with you that
half of my good colleagues here are "newspaper
prophets", and Jesus is more than a little late if
His itinerary is anything like first proposed by folks
like Hal Lindsey. 1988 came and went.
This is the type of garbage that this end times
thinking leads to.
But you must consider that this is "alt.bible.prophecy",
and what else would one discuss here if not the
apparent relationship between the news and Biblical
Prophecy.
Then maybe the group shouldn't exist. I don't
recall reading in the Bible where Jesus told
His disciples to, nor where His disciples did,
open whatever the daily news was and tell
people how the Bible prophecies are being
fulfilled before their very eyes.
For your further edification, my "prophecy"
is colored by my ex-Catholicism with a shade
of Nostradamus thrown in.
Then you are more interested in what men
have to say, than in what God has to say.
So, how are things in Tampa Dave?
Crowded I guess. I don't live there.
I do live in the Bay area though.
You the same Assistant Pastor Dave that
used to run a website out of Colorado?
Why on Earth would you come to Florida?
(just being friendly...)
No, that is not me. I don't have a web site.
Never had a Christian web site. I was going
to set one up, but since I use a router, my
ISP blocks me from creating one. Weird.
Eventually I will get a domain name and
do it that way.
